Possibility of getting a good WR?

Ah I see, I read somewhere he said something about the Pats not resigning him. I see. Thanks.

Its all good, brother. Some folks just live on here and think if you dont youre an idiot. Im glad you have a life.

However, Moss is under contract for one more year. He doesnt expect to get another contract and be playing for the Pats after his current contract expires.

As for Marshall, if the search fuction works Im sure theres been threads on him recently.

I know what you read, and it talked about him not getting resigned after the 2010 offseason by the Patriots.

As of the question, I really don't think so. At this point, WR is not a priority as we have a pretty good nucleus of young wide receivers in Thomas, Kelly, and Mitchell who have potential.

While we may have been a little harsh towards him, it has nothing to do with the fact that he doesn't "live" on here.

Anyone past the age of 14 should have been taught, or figured out on their own, the best way to get information, on the internet and otherwise. You search on your own, and then ask. Or at least look around quickly. With an informed question, you don't sound stupid.

And if he had, he would have seen a Brandon Marshall thread halfway down the first page. Just as if he knew how to search for information correctly, he would have seen that the article he read about Moss pertained to NEXT offseason. Its just tiring and a little sad to see that people don't know how to help themselves in such simple ways, and start threads like this. It's not just about ES. It pertains to finding information anywhere.

Can we effectively call Kelly and Thomas weapons yet?

I think we will be able to. I also think that the Shanahans will really make us regret the Zorn years when we see what they "pull off" offensively with our personnel. And by "pull off" I mean utilize correctly, now that they can run routes and know how to learn an NFL playbook.

Funnily enough, I've always been one of the few youngins to know the word "couth", and I would always get made fun of for saying it :ols:

But you're right, it was harsh. I just hate when people don't know how to help themselves, its a pet peeve of mine. But he deserved a more...measured and friendly, helpful response. I'll keep that in mind for next time.

Until then, thanks for not jumping on my slightly aggressive response.

And you might want to PM Soup or LeftCoastSkinsFan (sp?) about making you a sig

The Redskins getting a big time receiver is called using the weapons they already have on the team ... IE Kelly and Thomas.

Hoping aint enough. We need a WR here. Been needed one for a minute. Whens the last time we even had a true #1 WR? Since monk? Moss never should had been a #1 WR.

if Kelly and/or Thomas don't stpe up this year then clearly this is a big need next year. Is it a need now? Yes, but will it be addressed this offseason? No chance!

I think best case would be us adding a 2nd tier, #3 or #4 type WR at best we could hope for Walter or Bryant but I don't see it happening.

If I had to bet it'll be Moss, Thomas, Randle El, Kelly, Mitchell and possibly last spot open filled by undrafted player or lower tier FA.

Next year, I think this will be a big topic if our young WR's falter but on the other hand if they breakout this year we might not have to talk about the WR spots for years to come.

Skins need to look to upgrade all areas. WR is not a "huge" concern.

Thomas improved alot last year.

Kelly made a few plays but needs to be involved more.

Moss needs to move to the slot.

Randle El is a ok reciever to get quick first downs thats about it.

Mitchell is still a work in progress but I like the kid alot.

I think we could spend a late round pick on a WR say 5th or 7th and cross our fingers.

Or we could get a cheap/ younger reciever and let Randle El go. Wonder who will be the PR next year?
