tonyriggins
I havent been follow the football team since the end of the year. Of course I know that Zorn was fired and we have a General Manager for the 1st time since Snyders 1st year I think. I know every off season we have the same ole Danny has changed story. My main question is who is running the team now? Really between Snyder, Allen and Shanahan who is calling the shots? or is it like GibbsII era "I will get with Mr Snyder and vinny and we will make a decession". MGutta
Whenever Dan Snyder says something, I always take it with a grain of salt, but I think this may be different. Supposedly, full power is going to rest with Mike Shanahan, while Bruce Allen will work out contracts and Danny will sign the checks. Normally, I wouldn't believe it, but I honestly don't think Bruce and Mike would've taken their respective positions if it were any other way. Cross your fingers and knock on wood, but I think we're finally in for some real football.

I would think that Shanahan was promised a good deal of the final decisions in order to get him to sign. Obviously, Snyder is going to have some say, how could he not, he is Snyder. I could see Allen becoming more involved as time passes, but for the most part I would think Mike has the reins.
The Robert Griffin Experience
Well, he's the OWNER. You can't expect ZERO involvement from him. With that said, I doubt he will be making too many football decisions, or at least, no more than the average NFL owner. Snyder knows that he is on the brink of disaster relations with this team, and I don't think he'll screw it up.

He hired two guys in Shanahan and Allen who know football who know what they are doing. Snyder may have something to say here and there, but I believe Shanahan has final say, if not, the Skins are going to continue to be a bad team, owned by a bad owner who can't leave well enough alone. SWFLSkins
They play in Md., most fans are from Va. and they are called the Washington Redskins of the District of Columbia.
tonyriggins
Well so far so good. Look forward to see what happens come draft day.
Burgold
Agree with most, although it really is too early to tell. We haven't seen how Allen/Shannahan/Snyder approach the roster, free agency or a draft yet. In a few weeks, the first data set will at least come in and we can compare it to previous years. Looking For Number Four
Do you think that Shanahan, being the one of the most pursued coaches this off-season, did not specify that he would need more control than coaches have had in the past?
