In 2007 we played the Cardinals at FedEx and a friend at the time who played corner for virginia tech was playing with the Cardinals (Eric Green) and he got me tickets to the game, it was a 1:00 pm game and I got there really early so I could say thanks for the tickets and what not, and both teams were on field warming up and I just bought the 75th anniversary Sean Taylor jersey and while I was talking to EG, Taylor walked by and grabbed is daughter from the stands and walked around with her and after he was done he walked by me again, but this time I stopped him and asked if he would sign my jersey and he said "of course, nice jersey." ha. At the time he was tied for INT's in the league, so I asked when are you going to get the league leading INT, he said "if it comes, it comes." Just so happens it came, well who would of known that be his last INT and last home game he played in before he was killed. Interested to read other Sean Taylor memories.. R.I.P 21

My favourite had to be the 2005 (I think) Eagles game where Todd Pinkston was going deep down the middle and saw Taylor coming in for a big hit. He looked like he had a full body spasm to try to avoid the hit. His excuse to the press was "I lost the ball in the lights".

It was at that moment that I knew we had a truly special player...

Playing the Bucs.

Handoff from Sims, to Cadillac Williams. Williams gets hit, the ball pops loose and hits the ground. Marcus Washington tries to get a handle on it and run it back, but he loses it as well. Slow motion as the ball bounces free on the ground.

Out of nowhere, #21 flies in and snatches it up. The convoy forms around him, and he's off to the races.

"Fifteen, five, touchdown! Touchdown, Sean Taylor! There are no flags; he does it again!"

I remember watching him in preseason. I was so psyched we drafted him and I knew he would be a fantastic player. He had an interception and TD vs the broncos in his that game.

I also loved the play where he hustled and stripped a cowboys running back (julius jones?) and prevented a TD. You always knew with ST that every game he would have 4-5 game changing plays. INTs, big hits, stops, etc.

All i did when the Redskins were on defense was stare at Sean Taylor the entire time because I knew I was watching something very unique. Something the league has never seen before.

I remember one game (not sure which one), Sean Taylor, on 3 consecutive plays, knocked 3 people out of the game. The 3rd was London Fletcher...hahah

I'm not trying to be a jerk or anything, but he played in the home game against the eagles later that year. That's the game he got injured and the reason he wasn't with the team when his house was invaded.

Ok, you're right, forgot he played that game at home.. Appreciate it, but it was his last INT... Either way, Jersey is framed and means alot.

My favorite moment was him dogging Frampton from the Lions during the pre-game and then laying one the meanest blocks I've seen on his tail during the game and Frampton not getting up afterwards.

BTW, does anyone know where I can find that Tribute video set to 'what a wonderful world' .. I can't find it on Youtube anymore

Any wr who was on the field hat to know where st was! He was a freak of nature. He gave it his all every game and like someone noted he layed out the punter in the pro bowl! Come on man..

No1 tries or care in the probowl ut st did! That just showed you how much he loved the game.

r.I.p.

Not technically a Taylor memory, but I remember the minnesota game after he died.

Fred Smoot got called for PI in the end zone, but they mistakenly called #21 instead of #27. It was a good, refreshing light-hearted 5 minutes at my friends place joking about how Taylor is still roughing up WRs after his death. It cheered everything up, especiallly since it was so emotional after he passed.

They finally fixed it on Yahoo Sports later that evening.

We also have a line that Taylor temporarily possesses they player everytime one of our DBs lays out some WR or RB.

I love Chad Johnson/Ochocinco had to say regarding Sean.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=osF-gSxgAsA&feature=related

"Probably one of the only people that made me nervous when I touched the field on Sunday you know. My game is really talking a lot and then the time I really didn't utter or peep a word was when we played the Redskins whether it's preseason or regular season."

"I continued to keep my head on a swivel when I played against 21."

On what he respected so much about Sean:

"He was quiet. He ain't say a word but you knew it was coming. I heard coach up there saying he'd get a look in practice in his eyes and his face and you knew it was coming and that's the same way it was on the field. He didn't have to say anything he just had that look and you knew what time it was."

As sad as the topic is watching that interview just puts a huge smile on my face.

There was some pre-game show where the NFL network or ESPN crew was at a Redskins game and all the panel was at the side of the field during warm ups, and they said something about Sean, and Sean coincedentally saunters over and shakes everyones hand and calls them all 'sir' and 'mr', and he goes back to warm up and suddenly they ALL kiss his ass and talk about how great he is
