Passizle
Got his ass handed to him by another future HOF QB, great argument. Dumbest comment ever on ES. I forgot that Manning had triple duty... QB, DE and DC...
Chicken Fried
When did he say he had a great season? He said he was able to put up one of his best seasons besides a bunch of turmoil. If you watched last season and don't think the word "turmoil" applies to the cluster**** that was going on all the way from the OL falling apart to the coaching to the moronathon of an FO, I don't know what to tell you.Like it or not, what he said is true. When you go 4-12 the QB is always the biggest one under the microscope. I'm guessing he is at least a bit sick of people pointing the finger at him and talking about how he is horrible and its mostly his fault, even though he was one of the few people on offense that actually even showed up. I get it. You all want him to come out and just admit that he stunk and put all the burden on his shoulders, even if it is complete BS. That is being a leader? "Well, everyone seems to think this...so I guess I'll just say it to appease them". That sounds more cowardly than sticking up for yourself. It isn't like he threw certain players or coaches under the bus. He simply stated another fact: he did get pressured very quickly, all the damn time. I disagree. This is a team sport. You don't imply the team was horrible, but he rose above to have his best statistical season. He sort of congratulates himself, but doesn't do the same for anyone else. Loyal2Washington
Dumbest comment ever on ES. I forgot that Manning had triple duty... QB, DE and DC... Hey way to show up to a debate that ended 4 hours ago. Why don't you take the time to fully read and comprehend what was said between the two of us. If you took the time you wouldn't look like such a fool but I've had to put you in your place a while back so i know what you're all about. Passizle
Garbage time for this team is anything after about midway through the second quarter. When we have 0 points and the other team has alot. Whenever you are out of the game, its garbage time. In our case, that's way before the fourth quarter. Just shut up dude. Your posts are equivalent to your sig. It was just shown AGAIN how BS the whole garbage time argument is and your rebuttle is that every game this year was lost by halftime. Maybe you should take a minute and review the drive charts. There were not many (if any) blow outs in 2009.

He sort of congratulates himself, but doesn't do the same for anyone else. I don't think he was congratulating himself, more like defending himself since he has so many people who blame so much crap on him and imply that he is some horrid bottom dweller of a QB because the team went 4-12. It isn't like he was sitting there saying "yeah, well. The team was pretty crappy but I was good". He just said the QB gets a ton of the blame for a bad season (which is true) and mentioned that he was still able to have a decent season despite lots of turmoil. As far as his comment about pressure it was in response to a question about why they didn't try to go deep more often. The question obviously bothered him since some mediots had been saying the same stuff. So he gave the truth. What anyone who watched the games could see. They just didn't have enough time to set up those kind of plays.

Loyal2Washington
In Loyal2Washington's defense, it was just a miscommunication that got that whole thing started. Thank you Mistertim but you shouldn't have to respond to that individual. You and I had a spirited debate that had a miscom. over a point. Instead of taking the time to read the entire series of posts and learning that it was a miscommunication between the two of us, Ole PA makes a fool of himself yet again. Passizle
In Loyal2Washington's defense, it was just a miscommunication that got that whole thing started. I thought it was very obvious what was implied. Why woud one assume that it was this past SB that was being questioned when there was only one sack in the entire game? SittingBull
All this arguing is over nothing. Whether you think Campbell deserves another shot or not. Whether you think we should draft another QB this draft or not. Campbell will be the best QB on our roster at the start of next season. You don't throw in a rookie behind what we're calling an o-line or a 40 year old statue.
McD5
The entire team and organization, not JC alone, were a total mess. That being said, I see no reason to want to keep at best, a game manager here as our quarterback. That just isn't a recipe for consistent success. We should strive for much better. Redskins4ever
If the plan is for Jason Campbell to be the quarterback of the Washington Redskins, then he will be. The fact that he finished the year with an 86 plus rating, 22TDs, 15INTs, and over 3600 yards behind the worst offensive line in the NFL is a testimony to not only his ability and toughness, but to his professionalism. With Mike Shananan head coaching the Redskins now, I expect Jason to do even better than he has done in the future.

That will change with Shanny. Competition here we come.

Both won a lot more games then we did.
Manaconda21
Jason Campbell can be very good in this system, very good... Matt Schaub was amazing with less talent, plus mike shanahan said he wants to use Kelly like his son used Andre Johnson.. both identical receivers in size and kelly has great hands, look for Jason Campbell and Malcolm Kelly to have a good year! Kelly really needs to work on getting separation, then. Andre Johnson is very good at it. Kelly really seems to struggle. He does have great hands but he is going to need to learn to create more space after his release off the LOS.

bedlamVR
You are basing that on what ? Schaub has been in the league longer than Campbell only really became the full time starter last year ( has struggled with inconsistencies and injuries) with a supporting cast much better than Campbell has been given (as you say yourself) .... Sometimes the grass isn't greener on the other side ..it is just different
Gregpeck99
Campbell will be the best QB on our roster at the start of next season. Drivel. There are 3 other QBs on the roster who are better than Campbell. As Newera correctly states ... there has never been any competition to disprove this sad fact. The "mysterious" pass Jason has received has been revoked.
