who exactly said he's a late 1st rounder? I'm not seeing that....especially since guys like Golden Tate are being projected in the late 1st round.
That was my initial thought, I was hoping he'd be a 4th rounder-ish.

PFT, I know I know,,,but judging his performance today, I would say 2nd or 3rd. Who knows, Al Davis might trade back into the first and nab him

University of Cincinnati wide receiver/return specialist Mardy Gilyard dominated the Big East to the tune of 87 catches for 1,191 yards and 11 touchdowns as a senior, adding three scores on punt and kickoff returns. He was named the conference's Special Teams Player of the Year and first-team All-Big East in both 2008 and 2009.

Gilyard is also not hiding his high school arrest during interviews at the Senior Bowl.

"Character's a big issue, so I tell them straight up," Gilyard said. "I was arrested in high school for possession of marijuana and attempt to distribute. I didn't have no problem telling (them) that." Gilyard blames the arrest on being "young and dumb," and says he isn't proud of his past misdeeds.

While off-field issues will remain a red flag to teams considering Gilyard in April's draft, his approach is admirable and smart. It also contrasts with that of Nebraska LB Cody Glenn last year. The Redskins' fifth-round pick, Glenn lied about the reasons for his senior-year suspension to get truth seekers off his back.

Gilyard has drawn mixed reviews for his play down in Mobile. A projected late first- to second-round pick entering the event, the fifth-year senior has struggled with drops after measuring an inch and a half shorter and eight pounds lighter than he was listed at UC.

He'll get a chance to make up for it in Saturday's game.

I wonder how closely people are watching the game?

Or has bashing Tebow become a sport?

The LT blocked down and let the DE in unblocked to hit Tebow on the arm

On the other hand Zac Robinson, who i like and had a nice game moving around and throwing the ball, simply let the a ball slip out of his hands without getting hit and without any pressure, Mayock and Davis were joking around mentioning that the every scout is gonna ask to measure his hands now.

But, people didn't notice that huh?

Because guys bashing Tebow for fumbles surely didn't mention it.

The coverage of the senior bowl centered around Tebow, a two-time BCS Title winner and a Heisman recipient. For a guy that had lots of questions coming in, he didn't really do much to disprove the doubters. Zac Robinson didn't have nearly as much pub. That's why people are focusing on Alligator Jesus.

I'm talking about in this thread and people are bashing Tebow for fumbling.

But Zach Robinson and Tebow both had 2 fumbles.

Except Tebow was hit or stripped on his fumbles.

Robinson basically let the ball slip out of his hands on one of his fumbles.

Canfield also lost a fumble i think and i think there was another QB fumble but i can't remember.

Tebow was 8/12 with a few drops in there overall not a bad outing;

i would put his senior bowl performance 3rd behind LeFlour and Robinson, i would've put Brown ahead also but he threw that interception at the end.

But only one of those players has been projected as a first rounder and had all the media hype surrounding his college career. It's understandable that people were calling out his performance. Robinson fumbled, but he also threw a beautiful touchdown pass. Tebow couldn't get the ball to save his (Jesus?) life, even when he had time and open receivers.

Because Tebow didn't create the hype he just happens to be one of the best college football players ever.

I don't understand your point.

Its okay that other guys fumbled because they're not Tebow?

I'm explaining why people on this jumped all over him. I don't really care for Tebow's abilities, but I think he's a good guy all things considered. Great college player? Absolutely. One of the best. Will his game translate to the pro game? Not unless he makes major changes to his mechanics.

From what I saw, and reading some reports,Lefevour was one of the better performances at qb.

IF.... we draft a qb, I hope we can pick him up in the 3rd (if we can make a trade to obtain the third rounder back)

There is still the combine, and pro days, so we shall see what happens.

LeFevour looked good.

He threw 2 beautifully lofted deep balls and a 3rd that was a little over thrown but was right where you would want.

He also showed nice zip on some short passes.

He showed good footwork and a crisp delivery.

All around a good showing.

Ben Graham with our 2nd rounder - kid is a beast with a non stop motor that can make our D a super bowl Defense. I'm hoping we can snag either Dexter McCluster or Blount in the 4th round.

You mean Brandon Graham?

doubtful he would be in the 2nd round with the show he put on today.

OK. After watching the Senior Bowl and actually focusing on the performance on selected players (it is pretty difficult to keep an eye on several O-linemen), here is what I have learned. The North players look way more interesting than the South players. Specifically:

QB Tebow: Not wanting him even more. If only Sam Bradford was in the Senior Bowl and performed like this. I would go "Ah-HA! 1st round pick my ass!"

QB Tony Pike: A manageable performance, but not that desirable.

QB Dan LeFevour: Very good game from him. I'd be 50/50 if we pick him in the mid-round.

RB Dexter McCluster: Didn't look that fast to me. Fumbled twice. Need to learn from Tiki Barber on how to hold onto the ball.

RB LeGarrette Blount: Definitely looks like a guy Shanahan would want with his speed and quick turns.

OT Selvish Capers: Allowed a couple of sacks. Granted it was against Brandon Graham, but that could be a sign that he shouldn't start. I'd put him in the bargain bin of draft picks.

OT Vladimir Ducasse: Did his job nicely. A gem among Tackles. I'd take him with our 2nd round pick in a heartbeat.

OT Ciron Black: See Selvish Capers.

OT Sam Young: Guy outta Notre Dame did fine as RT. Probably a late round pick for us.

OG Mike Iupati: Good job out there but they say he is more suitable in LG (Dockery's spot) and he likes to hold too much. Got penalized for it.

OG Thomas Welch: Nothing eye catching but he is the only other guard I could spot.

C Matt Tennant: A very serviceable center. Way better than the South center who did the overhead snap. Usually I would hope he would be in the mid-round, but after a center was selected in the first round last year, I think we won't be able to get him.

NT Mike Neal: I saw him play well next to Brandon Graham. Maybe he can play with us for the sake of the 3-4 defense. Mid-round.

LB Koa Misi: Some people here talked about using Misi as a 3-4 LB here, and this game showed why. Mid-round.

CB Kylie Wilson: same recognition as above.

S Taylor Mays: Had an interception, but had poor tackling. Sound familiar? I would love to find a hidden gem with Sean Taylor abilities later in the rounds, but that is only a dream.

CB Myron Rolle: Nothing special about him in the game. I just wonder if smarts equals playmaker.

I still like Dan Lefevour/ or maybe Jarrett Brown. Jarrett didnt pass as good as Dan, but he can move around pretty good.

Definitly agree on Blount, with Shanny not being afraid to look at someone based on their on field vs off field performances, he would be a good fit.
