da#1skinsfan
No. We got tall receivers to catch balls above their head, not below their knees.
redskinsguy17
I think the Bengals might be looking to get rid of Carson Palmer after how he played yesterday. He missed a bunch of throws.
Vladimir L
I was considering making a thread, but I'll just do it here.I think there's a case to be made for bringing Vick to DC. First and foremost, I don't want to hear any dogfighting trash. It's behind him. Everyone said PETA was going to hold protests, boycott PHI games, etc. It didn't happen and I didn't hear a whisper of it past week 4. Seriously, the guy's cleaned up his act. I think everything he has went through over the past years has really humbled the man and I think he really is ready to help an NFL team. Secondly, he is more likely to become available (and at a cheaper price) than McNabb. He is also only 6 month older than our current quarterback and 4 years younger than McNabb, for all of you Campbell supporters and McNabb lobbyists here. Most importantly, he opens up a new dimension to the game that we haven't had (unless you'd like to count swinging gates and Randl El trick plays). EVEN behind a terrible offensive line, Michael Vick is a guy that can make things happen, whether it be a bomb on the run or a scramble--Which brings me to my next point. At 28, the guy would potentially bring us 5 or 6 more years of productive football. This would allow us to draft Russell Okung's and Jahvid Best's in drafts ahead as we wait on quarterback for a few seasons as we address the other problems on our team and build a foundation. Sam Bradford is going to need more and more surgeries and become a bust if you plan to put him behind 3 2nd day draft picks, Derrick Dockery and Casey Rabach. Michael Vick is a dynamic player that comes around once a decade. I think this is an opportunity we have to bring in a hometown game-changer at a reasonable price to turn this ship around. Growing up in Newport, attending VT and close ties with DHall don't hurt either... I'm ready for my beating now lol... You all may proceed It wouldnt hurt to bring him in. Geoff_K
No thank you. I would prefer to have a young QB we develop that is our guy for the next 15ish years.
OU_skins
McNabb was great this year when he had time to let Jackson get open. He won't have time or Jackson here.
SkinsGuy
NO to McNabb. He is a choker and a whiner.
bedlamVR
I think the Bengals might be looking to get rid of Carson Palmer after how he played yesterday. He missed a bunch of throws. Some teams stick with QBs through good times and bad . The idea of the FRANCHISE anything is a construct of the media and fans .
isle-hawg
NO to McNabb, his best days are over in my opinion! IF we had an OL and running game like Minny and were just a QB away I would be all over it. I think it will take more that 1 offseason to address completely rebuilding our OL - so whoever our QB is next year, it is likely he will be taking plenty of hits. Campbell my be at best an average NFL QB but he has proven that he is a tough guy and can take the hits. I think McNabb is incapable at this point in his career of doing the same. He does us no good if he gets hurt early and cannot play.
cphil006
I would take him in a second. Is 100x better than anything we have/had this year or the next few years. Pick him up for 2-3 years. Either draft a QB this or next year and let him sit and learn. Sounds good... I would take him because of his experience in the short passing game of the WCO... and because he will actually throw it down field... of course it helps when you have DeSean Jackson. 4skins23
WOW. I posted my response earlier that I don't want him here. He's an Eagle and always an Eagle. But some of your responses are just lame. " He's washed up, he has a rubber arm, he's almost into retirement, he might as well go to the Vikes next year, Don't know if he will get up after he's hit, he's losing his arm strength.... etc..." - the list goes on. Only problem with those excuses is... if all that is true, The Vikes and Eagles both won how many more games than the 'Skins and both made the playoffs with weak, rubbery arms and washed up 40 something year old QBs, that should be retired? MAYBE we should take note and find our own way. Whether its drafting a stud or bringing in Farve, McNabb, or even Joe "freaking" Montana! It seems that JC can't get the job done. Despite his fake stats from screen passes and dump-offs. The only stat that matters is win/losses!
kingdaddy
Another thing about McNabb is that he loves throwing to his TE's.....We have two very good ones. I think Shanahan would get more production out of a McNabb or Vick then Andy Reid has.

skinfanatic28
I would have to say I would not want mcnabb here only because... We can't even give our guy (campbell) the same OC for more tahn two years to grow under, heck his progression under seven diff. OC since high school. I personally think is amazing when you take into account the lack of protection he has had. Mcnabb had everything the last ten years and without a SB ring to prove same OC great oline, RB, Defense until jim johnson passed away, and same head coach. Our redskins are on our seventh did I say seventh coach in that same time. I say Either support JC or give Colt a shot. I believe we do need to support the cast we have already with a few new pieces not uproot everything when our coaching staff has been so incosistant in the last decade. 4skins23
No McNabb, you people need to give JC the chance he deserves How many years and schemes now has it been? They have tried him in different schemes and for a few years. He just isn't a high caliber QB, imo. He needs to be with a team that runs it 60-70% of the time. Then maybe he may make 1st string. darrelgreenie
If the Eagles can't trade McNabb they may just release him to allow him to go find a team of his own. If they commit to McNabb for a few more years, they'd likely try and get something for Kolb, who is good trade bait, rather than let him go for nothing in return. Either way, whether it's McNabb or Kolb, I think the Skins should look at these two QB's as options to run the West Coast offense. Both know the offense well and both have intangibles that would be upgrades over JC. This whole scenario may be a long shot because the Eagles would likely not want to see McNabb or Kolb with a division rival, but then again the Eagles management is pretty arrogant. They traded a 1st round pick to Dallas a couple of years ago without worrying who Dallas would select. Clearly I'm looking for a veteran QB who can come in and run Shanahan's offense next year. I would welcome McNabb with open arms. Not only would he raise the level of our offense he would give us such keen insight into the Eagles offense that our defensive game plan against them would be outstanding. I'm not sure how anybody can other then the Eagles can be sold on Kolb sure he has the potential to become a good QB but will he be anywhere near as good McNabb? (He also has the potential to be Scott Mitchell) 2 games is not enough of a resume imo.
