The Eagles defense is CLEARLY better than the Cowboys defense.

I think the Jets win in a tight one. If Sanchez can protect the ball and manage the game, the Jets are built for the playoffs. They have an outstanding defense and the best rushing game in the leauge.

Yes, their D may very well carry them to a victory. I think they are up there in terms of ppg allowed.

Speaking of the Jets D, I think Revis is the #1 corner back in the NFL now. He has surpassed Nnamdi in my book.

The Cowboys, however, are 0-2 in such games. :)

If they lose this game, IMO, it will be a bigger choke than losing to the giants two years ago. That year Romo sits to pee was younger, not as steady as he is now and they didn't have the options they have now on offense. Defensively they could be thrown on.

I fail to see how an OL consisting of Justice, Giles and Cole is going to dominate the Cowboys front 7, especially when it seems Jackson is extrmely gimpy right now and won't be able to stretch the field the way he has in the past. The MLB and FS issue are easily exploited (as they were on Sunday). Draw plays and 3-step drop passes to Witten/Crayton until Harris/Mikell have to creep up, then deep to Miles.

Eagles possibly can win if their DL gets pressure, the offense gets a respectable running game going and McNabb has a phenomenal day. Avant/Celek/Maclin are going to have to be money with the short/intermediate routes (they were open a lot on Sunday but they never capitalized enough).

I could see whoever wins this game getting beaten soundly the weekend after. Minny/NO have to love seeing a division rival game like this because it is going to take a lot out of the team winning it.

Great post. Can't disagree with anything you've written.

As the #3 seed If Dallas beats the Eagles again they'll travel to MN, and I think that would be a very interesting game. I've heard people say the Cowboys match up well against the Vikings, but I'm not sure I'm buying it. the Allen vs Allen match up will be fun to watch, and no one runs against the wall of Williams. On the flip side of it is no one besides the Giants scores much against Dallas. If Romo sits to pee and Farve start feeling pressured to make plays this could turn into an old fashioned gunslinger battle with more more TDs and INTs than we've seen all year.

The one real upside to all this year in the playoffs is the only "outdoor" stadium the Cowboys can play in is Cowboy Stadium since MN and NO play in pure dome stadiums, and Cowboys already stomped NO at home once.

If you can stop Jared Allen and the pass rush, you can pass all day on the Vikings. They really dont have anything special in the secondary, and I dont think Winfields 100 percent. They have a very overagressive defense imo as well which can be exploited by the draw, something Dallas is very good at.

On defense the Cowboys run defense is just as good as the Vikings, and I think our pass rush can really disrupt Favre. Dallas has played Favre extremely well in the past.

But again, none of this matters right now.
