Hardcore Zornography
I made a vow to anyone that would listen after the Detroit loss, Cerrato's idiotic statement on Samuels' injury, and the Zorn demotion circus that I would never spend another cent on anything Redskins related until Snyder handed the keys to the organization over to a football person. That seems to have finally happened this morning. I know a lot of others had made similar vows for the same/different reasons. Does the seemingly new horizon that has surfaced allow for the embargo to be lifted for those who had made such claims? I am leaning towards yes for me, but am going to wait to see if Allen actually does get to call his own shots.
ThePreciating
The boycott has to be lifted. If it's not lifted, we're just a bunch of hypocrites. The boycott should remain lifted until we see CLEAR evidence that Dan Snyder is meddling in Allen's job.
Hardcore Zornography
All I know is it has been a good week and a half or so for me, Redskins-wise. I had wanted Gano to be our kicker forever now, and that happened. I also called for an Allen/Gruden GM/Coach tandem earlier in the year, and half of that has come true. But part of me is still skeptical of whether or not Dan is going to allow Allen to do his job without his meddling.

Haha, I got a Skins bumper sticker as part of a gift a month or so ago, and didn't put it on my truck because of my ban. So yeah, I think I am leaning towards finally sticking it up there. @DCGoldPants
Vinny gone and they hired a new GM. I'm in for my tickets for next year. They bought themselves some serious time.

tshile
personally - i'm not spending a $ inside the stadium until the quality of the products becomes better. the food is awful, the drinks are overpriced. the staff is lazy and incompetent (the ones at the vending areas, the ones at the gates are really nice ) as for the general 'boycott' - i hope not. Just putting someone else in the GM position isn't enough. It needs to be the right person. The players have to be treated like players - not multi million dollar $ generators. Until the culture of the organization, and its attitude towards fans, changes. The boycott should continue. SOmeone put it to me a great way last night: When cooke and gibbs were here - the redskins was the fans' team, and they were just the ones lucky enough to be the 'gatekeepers' Since snyder has shown up its become his little toy, and the rest of us are just the suckers paying him to play with it. Until that changes, the boycott should resume. Change for Change's sake isn't good enough. Snyder better keep his hands out of it this time. edit: this could have been done without firing anyone. the fact that someone was fired, still makes me wonder if its a change for change's sake, or a change that is genuine and meaningful... we'll see. hailtotheskins69
It has for me! Wasn't planning on getting any food at the stadium Monday Night, but that may change! I'll also probably grab an SJ-9 with my dad. But now is when I think I'll be heading out to get my new ORAKPO jersey. Although I need money for that first...haha
SkinsHokieFan
Yup I am very satisfied with the events of today. Now, will Bruce Allen truly be in charge or is it still the Dan show remains to be seen. However, today my boycott is lifted and I am ready to roll

Look, we're all fans here and we all want the team and organization to improve. The main complaints have been with The Dan's meddling and poor treatment/gouging of the fans. Vinny was a symptom of the problem, not it's cause. Removing him doesn't cure the team, it just eliminates a symptom. A cure for the football ops problems will only be seen if and when Allen is his own GM and not overruled, second-guessed or unduly pressured by an over-excited Fantasy Dan. The treatment of fans is another matter where correction is less ambiguous.

The treatment of fans is another matter where correction is less ambiguous. I agree to a certain extent. But on the flipside, I believe Vinny was WAY WAY WAY more than a symptom of our problems. I know he was a kiss ass to Snyder, but I also feel that relationship went the other way around to a degree. I think Dan knows he, himself, is not a football mind, so kind of looked up to Cerrato and actually valued and respected his opinions/decisions/assessments, whatever you want to call them. Something has happened this year to make Dan finally realize this marriage wasn't working. It wouldn't surprise me if it was this fan revolt, our personal embargos, and the like that had a little bit to do with the goings on of the organization. HitStickTaylor21
I happy to hear Vinny is gone, but we still have to see how Allen and Snyder move forward together. There's still so much uncertainty. What happens with Zorn? Who do we draft? If next year is uncapped, who's contracts are we dumping? Do we improve the offensive line? What is Campbell's future? Portis' future? Etc... Until those decisions are made, we can't say that too much has happened aside from a new guy coming in. I'm happy Vinny is out, but Bruce Allen has to make the right moves. Understandable and while I supported this boycott my own started last year and is still in force until Jason is gone or sat down. This is a great step forward for sure but I am still waiting for more.
Zguy28
Partially lifted. I will now cheer vigorously again for them to win since my main goal was accomplished. However I will not spend money on the Redskins until I am satisfied Danny boy isn't meddling. That does not mean others can't spend money on the Skins for me though.
