TheItalianStallion
It wasn't THAT meaningless. We went out and took care of a lower ranked opponent handily. To be fair, it has been a long time since we last did it. (SF in 2005, if I remember correctly) That, combined with being competitive against some of the better teams in the NFL is progress. At this point, it is progress that we are looking for because with 10 players on IR and various others out because of injuries, it is going to be hard to be any good. The fact that we are even competitive right now is amazing, and it is a credit to the coaching staff and the players stepping up.I'd say our wins over Houston in 2006 and Detroit in 2007 count as taking "care of a lower ranked opponent handily."Agreed otherwise.
