zCommander
Why didn't he catch on with another team already? Maybe he made them cry. :hysterical:
wildbill1952
The first time he misses, he becomes "Guano". (Look it up. Good for your vocabulary.) Seriously the guy kicks AND punts? A luxury. I just want to see the kickoffs on the other side of the 10 yard line.
skinpride1
I'm going out on a limb to and say he will be our clutch kicker!!! WHY? After the screwing the refs handed us last week the football gods will give us something back in return.... a clutch kicker bank on it!!
Spartacus87
I'd love to see him turn out to be our our kicker for the future. But most kickers bounce around for awhile before finding their place, it's impossible to say if Gano will work out for us or not. Especially with our string of mediocre kickers in recent years. McD5
I'm not feeling the "onions" thing. I am feeling this is the best kicker we have had in more than a decade. People want clutch? This guy has veins of ice in the biggest games he has played in. In that UFL championship game....he kicked the game winning field goal, in overtime no less. In FSU's bowl game....he was the MVP on a team that put up a bunch of points. It is rare to see a kicker/punter named as the MVP when the offensive output is so high in a single game. He is the real deal, Holyfield. Much like when we signed Hunter Smith, our talent level just increased dramatically.

spjunkies
I don't get it. If he were so good, then why is he available? Same reason that Akers was available after the Skins cut him. Hopefully this fella turns out to be a solid kicker like him.
andyburd
and as soon as he misses a kick, people will be screaming to cut him. He is outta here
CRobi21
I don't get it. If he were so good, then why is he available? Only thing I can think of is that every team other than us already has a kicker who is solid and consistent. When I think about it, there aren't too many teams with kicking issues. I know the Dallas kicker has been struggling, I'm sure they'll be doing a kicker search here soon.

Well, Akers was only available for a hot minute if I'm remembering correctly. Only thing I can think of is that every team other than us already has a kicker who is solid and consistent. Wasn't Gano on the Ravens and people were begging for us to sign him? I'm just wondering why the Ravens didn't keep him. Is their kicker that fantastic? Is their kicker that fantastic? I guess they opted to go with the vet over the rookie.. http://www.nfl.com/players/stevenhauschka/profile?id=HAU342462 Hauschka is 9 of 13 with a long of only 44.. Ok I guess.. Kinda excited to see what Gano can do for us still..

BKSkinsFan
I'm truly hoping he does well here, a lot of hype over a guy who got cut in Baltimore over a kicker that got cut midseason. Baltimore now has Billy Cundiff.
Dan T.
He took over FG duties his senior year at Florida State. He missed his first career attempt, a 50 yarder. Then he proceeded to make his next 18 in a row. He finished the year making 24 of 26 field goals. His only misses were from 50 and 52 yards. At one point he made 5 straight attempts over 50 yards. (He also was an accomplished punter, and was a kick-off specialist.) He was definitely the real deal in college. He's been bounced around now as a pro (Baltimore, Las Vegas of the UFL). It's not unreasonable to hope this guy stops the Redskins revolving door at the kicker spot. But I thought Durant Brooks was a can't miss too, so I'm not holding my breath. scruffylookin
Well hopefully he can hit over 80 percent of his field goals. I'd be happy with that......................oh wait, we just cut a guy who did that. Gano had better not miss a single kick, or I will call for his head. Lombardi's_kid_brother
I have no idea who this is. I am awed, however, that we live in a world where people are passionate about UFL kickers.
