Chris 44
Was listening to radio, Warner Hestler of the Daily Press was on talking about his observations at camp. Hestler stated that Wesley Walls looked pretty good even at 37. Says he ran a 4.8 40. He compared that to Flems 4.7. All this of course is coming from Hestler but he went on to say that Snyder appeared impressed and cancelled a lunch commitment to meet with Walls. Said that Tampa has a low offer in and Walls is next scheduled to go to G.B. For what its worth....
Zen-like Todd
Unless Wesley has bulked up tremendously and is planning on manning the d-line, Im not too interested.
Chris 44
Hestler also said that Canidate has a tendancy to try to take everything to the outside causing grumblings from the coaching staff, and takes too much time to hit the hole (which is the opposite of some reports we have read) went on to say that he feels Betts will start ahead of him. Again for what its worth.
The Sir
I get the Daily Press and I like Warner Hestler. I used to not like him much, but he definately seems to be a fan. He's too pessimistic, but im sure that comes from years of disappointment.
bccdc
Agree Todd. Let's see - the skins clearly have a glaring weakness...let me think for a minute...I have it, let's sign an over the hill TIGHT END! Of course. Because TE in Spurriers offense usually produce big time and his addition should solidify our soft underbelly.
bulldog
it's sad but a truism that Walls at 37 and unfit for the #2 role in Carolina would be a big upgrade for the Skins Cerrato said yesterday the club would continue to improve weak areas and TE is about as bottomless a pit as there is on the team right now. Henry
Honestly, if he's better than the guys we've got, which he is, why wouldn't we sign him for the minimum? Does signed a TE for the minimum prevent us from signing a DT? My guess would be no.
bulldog
the Redskins WERE going to sign him for the minimum. HE decided not to sign and to visit Green Bay instead you are confusing which of the courting pair put the brakes on my friend
