Bailey is smart enouth to see the reaching this franchise continues to do. The dolphins go Junior Seau for a 5th round pic we got Matt Bowen... Enough said Sorry, I have to call you out on this one bro. First of all, Hugh Douglas is done. You can take that to the bank. The Jags will be lucky to get a half season out of the old war-horse. Second of all, tell me you are kidding about Seau. I would honestly take Matt Bowen over him at this point. Seau is old and washed up and, not to mention, plays a position we are set at. Bowen is young, has good potential and plays a position we have a dire need at. No contest. Remember, this isn't trading cards we're talking about here, we are trying to field a good team. RTerps2002
Bowen over Seau ? Seau is one thing this team hasn't had in a long time and that is a leader...
Thinking Skins
RTerps, We have Lavar, Trotter, Armstrong, and several reserves. I especially think that Lavar has been a great leader for this defense. What you're saying is that we should have gotten more stacked at linebacker and continued to ignore our safety position. I remember us doing that in 2000, when we had Brad Johnson and went out and got George and ignored other weaknesses on this team. I mean thats been done and didnt net positive results. I like the idea of trying something new and actually addressing the needs of the team.

Players who are serious about being here would likely be at least a little more proactive than that. You can say "look at Daryl Gardener," but then Jon Jansen spoke about wanting to stick with the Redskins and backed it up. Unlike JJ and Lavar, Champ has shown absolutely no such commitment or desire to stick around. He seems like a mercenary type to me. Feh. Champ is the best DB in the NFL, Been to numerous pro bowls in his short career, done everything well and with class and Skins fans call him a mercenary when contract time rolls around and he basically says, "whatcha got Snyder" ? Well, if that's how appreciated Champ is by the Skins fans, perhaps Champ SHOULD go elsewhere. Like Atlanta, close to home....in the warm weather....and far away from DC
