Y! Sports: Zorn looking like lame duck; Rogers says 2-3 mark 'starts with the F.O.'

Carlos Rogers ought to shut the **** up!

If he lived upto his billing we would not have to look for another top flight CB. Shawn Spring beat him out to be the #1 CB for us, and then D'Angelo Hall.

If he caught the interception that hit him in his hands in the game against the Panthers we probabily would have won!

I love what Los said! Maybe it will get Vinny and Danny's attention and we will get a better Oline and I believe Zorn means well and his state of mind is absolutely correct. I believe some how some way, the skins can turn around in some wacky interesting way! HTTR!

I'm guessing Rogers is gone next year. I thought the fact that he wasn't re-signed last year was probably a portent of his future but now I'm guessing it's a lock.

He is a good player even though his inability to catch the ball is absolutely maddening. I think dropped interceptions are among the most under-reported statistics in football.

Regardless, he's a valuable player and I've said in other threads that they need to look at trading him to a team desperate for secondary help during the season since he should be easy to move with a low cap number. I figure it made sense since management probably didn't want him around. Now they definitely don't want him.

I don't understand why this is such a huge deal. I didn't hear much "calling out", I heard more of a statement of the obvious. It starts with the front office. They bring the guys in, and they make the decisions. Who's arguing with that?

It's called being a fan. I think that way sometimes too, but then I remember who owns the team. And who is picking our "talent". And I think nevermind.

Rogers basically said what we're all thinking. It starts from the top and trickles down. He knows that and we know that. I know that the guy doesn't have the best hands in the world, but next year some team will sign him and he will be a top flight CB for them. This team is just one big cluster*****.

Until enough creditable people call out Snyder he will never change, good for Carlos, there is a reason Marty was let go so abruptly, he wouldn't let Danny boy have his way. 1 big problem with Snyder even if he steps aside is the fact that he would be the man hiring a GM, and you might as well put that decision in the hands of one of the cheerleaders, because Danny's football knowledge may, or may not be on par with them.

Man, Carlos with some honesty.

Though, when asked what the quickest way of improving the team is, I would have loved to hear him say, "buy me some stick'em!"

Would have been funny as hell and even more honest.

Still though, his statement about the F.O. also sharing responsibility for the teams current suckiness (yeah even though it's Obvious) increased my respect for him, and hopefully he signs a big contract next offseason.

Finally, I were a GM of another team, I'd sign Los to a decent contract as he is a good player, with interception based incentives as he'd never collect them. *ducks the tomatoes"

Rogers is one of those tragic figures on the team. One of the most consistent performers on defense and one of the best cover corners in the NFC, yet he doesn't garner nearly the respect other players at the position do because of his inability to catch the ball.

Not sure what it is, but it seems like he never quite got over that dropped interception in the playoffs against the Seahawks.

Sadly, his career in Washington is probably over. Won't be the least bit surprised to see him end up with one of our division rivals, more than likely the Giants who seem to have a need at the position.

It does all start with the F.O., I mean who can honestly disagree? Our F.O. doesn't have the balls, nor the intelligence for that matter, to tell Snyder that O-line is where you win games. There are many problems with this team and IMO Zorn is the biggest problem.

Or the subpar OL... Perhaps the underachieving receivers... Or maybe even the aging backs?

The main problem is the O-line, the weakest unit on our team, a weakness which traces back to Gibbs's failed policy of trading away too many draft picks (2004-2006).

Or Vinny Cerrato's inability to draft offensive linemen even when we have draft picks?
