Buffalo_Soldier
I know the urge to blame the refs is tempting to many Redskin fans. I would point out that our players are not executing the fundamentals well in any of the 3 phases of the game. On defense our tackling is little league, I must have seen 20 different examples in today's game that I personally saw where a player simply lunged or tried to push down a player. The critical 3 and 2 DeAngelo Hall first of all didn't stay home guarding for the bootleg, but then he did a Waltz with Delhomme all the way to the first down marker. He isn't the only one, our defense is rife with patsy tacklers. On offense no one blocks anymore, Sellers, Cooley, Mason, Most of the O-line. At least Jason started looking at other receivers with 7 getting the ball, and he didn't have much time. He still isn't the guy though. Special teams, can't we try to at least give Thomas a chance at punt receiver and Alridge a shot at kickoff returner?? The receiving defenders are taught to stay way clear of the returner. If Westbrook doesn't get that close this wouldn't have happened. Our team is in a lot worse shape than first thought and it isn't one players fault. Blache, start teaching the fundamentals first thing Tuesday morning. Teams that win championships are teams with players that can be counted on to tackle in the open field. We look like the keystone cops out there. It's so embarrassing that sick teams come to us to get well.
SIXX99
I have noticed in all levels of football lately that tackling is getting worse and worse.
