TheGoodBits
Title sounds like a fair thread, content does not match it. I couldn't stand watch Davis catching passes though. Where was Cooley?
Combatant
Not an excuse, but Cooley had to help the line block a lot.

DMVSkins
The Panthers D-Line was shredding through us like a hot knife to butter so he had to stay in to block so JC could run into the pressure on the edges instead of away from it.
IrepDC
Cooley was helping Batiste.. 300 lb Samuels couldn't play with a STINGER
addicted
I agree that Zorn should be fired, ZERO catches for Coley is fireable in my eyes
RonArtest15
That's not on Zorn or Campbell...blame it solely on Cerrato. We have guys like Batiste who are inadequate at blocking, and thus we have to use our best offensive weapon in Cooley to help out. Why send guys out on the field that would have a hard time making a NFL roster for just about every team in the league? This is an embarrassment. SIXX99
He had to block all game and when he wasn't blocking he was not open. You could tell Campbell was missing the security blanket that Cooley gives him. And watching Fred Davis go airborn was making me sick.
BoBoCTiberius
He was staying in to block a lot, and when he wasn't, he was matched up against one of the best MLBs in the game not named London Fletcher. The goal was to beat up on the Panthers' weak secondary, and the goal was not accomplished.
SirClintonPortis
Blame it on the FO for not having a competent LT to replace Samuels. Seriously, would Tra Thomas have been any worse than Batiste??????
Chump Bailey
Blame it on the FO for not having a competent LT to replace Samuels. Seriously, would Tra Thomas have been any worse than Batiste?????? We are dangerously thin at OT. Horrid drafting by VC IMO. This past draft was deep at the position too. Oldskool
Not an excuse, but Cooley had to help the line block a lot. Correct. Anyone who actually watched the game saw Cooley lined up with Heyer to help against Peppers. If he hadn't, Heyer would have been beaten like a rented mule today. nehneh
He was being held back in the passing game to block, but he needs to be targeted in the passing game. He can't block very well anyways. Let Davis block and Cooley go catch a pass.
benskins26
Cooley couldn't catch anything cause he had to stay into block the entire game
MrJL
he was helping pass protect. THough in my opinion if they wanted a TE to help block they should have had Yoder at that spot instead of Cooley and Cooley lining up where Davis was.

Incognito-01
Time to blow this team apart. There are way too many high paid under-acheiving veterans on the team. I want Clinton Portis, Antwaan Randle El, Santana Moss, Mike Sellers, Phillip Daniels, Ladell Betts, Carlos Rogers, Jason Campbell, and a few more booted. Chris Samuel is a shadow of his fomerself. He is often injury prone over the past few years, and we need to replace him sooner rather than later. Dockery isn't worth the high-price we paid him. We also need to also need to fix the RT, and RG soon! My girfriend calls the Skins .... Dead Skins!
Renegade7
Already pointed out that Cooley couldn't be used for anything expect passing today. Our o-line has been demolished and was getting abused by the panthers left and right. There's really not much Zorn could do about it. Snyder has to make it a mission to stand behind his coach and get him the players on the oline Zorn needs to make this team successful. Otherwise, we as a whole will continue to look like crap. Riggins77
I was at the game, in the lower level, row 2 and after the game said the same thing. However, my wife and dad were up in the upper level and both told me that he was blocking the whole time or covered. They said there was maybe 2 or 3 times that he was open that Campbell didn't see him.
CaliforniaSkin
Still.. a franchise LT out almost the whole game with a STINGER? That's just soft as hell. Do you even have any idea what a "stinger" is? It is a nerve injury to the brachial plexis (the nerves leaving the spine and traveling to the shoulder and arm). It is intensely painful and causes weakness of the arm and shoulder. It is very dangerous to return to action with a stinger before the symptoms have subsided. While stingers generally clear up on their own with time, returning to action early can cause weeks, months or even years of weakness. Calling someone soft because they don't return with a potentially very serious injury is simply ignorant.
