Hunter_R
He gives one positive: The fans. To his credit, he mostly trashes Snyder. Says Snyder doesn't listen to the scouts. Tell Snyder that he needs 53 good players and not 5 overpaid stars. He lists many negatives, such as: Campbell (Strahan comes to Campbell's defense), Hall, Portis is on the downside, overpriced vets in general, no upcoming young players, fewer draft picks, and there were a few others I can't recall. Basically, he said the team should have been blown up years ago, and they are not a championship team. The part that really stuck out to me, however, is the other guys asked him if he'd accept a Parcells-type role if it were offered to him. He said he couldn't fix this team. I wonder how many other people view the Skins like that.
kevinklein
Just another man's point of view. Only difference is that he's on TV. I know people will say "yeah, but he won super bowls!" Yeah, well so did Joe Gibbs, and it sure seemed to me that the game passed him by.

Yeah, well so did Joe Gibbs, and it sure seemed to me that the game passed him by. And he was a Cowboy, but still. Remember how long it took to get a head coach? They weren't even asking about a coaching role. They implied a Parcells-in-Miami role. It just seems telling that he says, on air, that he couldn't fix this team. dez4theskins
He said this team has no talent. I disagree, we have no direction. We need a leader as our head coach and a good gm. There is talent on this team we just need someone to take us to that next level. The jets and 49ers did it, why cant we?

Voice_of_Reason
Well, I don't have the 2 SB rings, but I completely agree with all that you posted. I didn't see the segment though, so I don't know what else he said... They started the season with 8 of the same offensive players from 2005, thinking that Heyer for Jansen, and MK/DT, and JC for Brunnell was going to make this a good offense. That's plain stupid. They weren't all that great when the guys were in their mid-late 20's 5 years ago. What in God's name makes you think they would be better now??? The personnel side of this organization stinks. The leadership stinks. The coach is a hippie and not a tough guy. There are no leaders in the locker room except for London Fletcher. Players are regressing instead of progressing. The entire thing needed to be blown up, and it didn't happen. At least not offensively. Defensively, personnel wise, they have done more to get younger and deeper. Still not terrific, but I'd give them passing grades on that. Complete F on the offensive side of the ball. F- if it was possible.

Yeah, well so did Joe Gibbs, and it sure seemed to me that the game passed him by. 1) winning SBs is hard. Johnson took the worst team in football and may it respectable in three years and unbeatable in five. And when they won the SB they had one of the lowest payrolls in the NFL. 2) Skins fans perceived that the game had passed Gibbs by because he didn't win SBs immediately. He took them darned close twice in four years. He did miracles with mediocre talent.

HigSkin
I would rather hear from someone who wasn't a ex-Cowboys coach and Skins hater. Not discounting what's been said by some of these guys but JJ needs to study more before commenting. Despite Vinny, we've got some pretty good young talent and can be fixed with the right front office moves.

He just said Campbell wasn't championship material. Last week shouldn't have made anybody feel better about the qb. I would rather hear from someone who wasn't a ex-Cowboys coach and Skins hater. Not discounting what's been said by some of these guys but JJ needs to study more before commenting. Orakpo might get a second. The receivers couldn't pull in a fourth round pick. Fletcher is 45 years old - a new coach/manager isn't going to build a defense around him. Cooley is clearly the best player on the team - how do you ask someone to build a team around the tight end? I know there is a lot of animosity against JJ, but don't condemn the man for speaking the truth.

Sadly though, too many on here are prepared to diss. arguably the greatest QB this organizations ever had, (no disrespect to Baugh), at the expense of the current starter, which I'll NEVER get. Hail. No Excuses
He's right. We have the best fans in the league. I take pride in being a Skins fan. I'll stick with this team no matter what. But this management is a joke. This team needs a big overhaul, not so much in a roster change but a change of philosophy. We need a youth overhaul at the offensive line, not with the garbage talent we have right now but with actual NFL caliber talent. We need to stop this win now attitude and build a team that can have success for years and years. This season, the sooner we realize that we are passing team not a running team, the better our chances to win. I'm not advocating abandoning the run but we need to pass first, pass second and run third.
