Bonez3
Just wanted to point out that we will likely start the first 6 games of the season against a winless opponent. I know the Giants are the caveat, but they were winless when we played them. Followed by winless STL, DET, TB, CAR and likely KC next week. I believe we should be 4-2 going into Philly game and actually have the opportunity of coming out of the bye with a true chance for a playoff push. This team stinks. But, the schedule is a true blessing and, as always, they are talented. Redskins teams of recent have had late season surges (minus last year) and I think it is not coincidence. So, a word of hope. Maybe these primadonnas can start playing football after a couple of cupcakes and give the fanbase something to cheer for. Also just wanted to point out an interesting factoid. With that said... I dont like our chances this week.
Aghar
So, you are like most people here on ES. Are optimistic and realistic... Like our talent, but not our roster... Hopeful for a playoff push, but not looking forward to disappointing losses... In a nutshell....I'm with you!

ttr77
'Late season surges' were a staple of a Joe Gibbs coached team ever since his first year here in '81. Sadly, the only year it's happened without him on the sideline here was in '01. But, thankfully Snyder quickly put an end to that nonsense. darklight1216
For some reason I'm more concerned with playing carolina then I am with Philly Is that because a loss to the Panthers would be the second time this year that the Redskins brought a win to a lousy team or because you're not worried about the Eagles since you owned them last year? rd421
Why do I get the feeling the team is playing poorly bc we are playing against bad teams? Don't get me wrong we are horrible but I would bet my paycheck that we play better against our division than we have been playing....I didn't say we would win. I am just saying we will play better

I am just saying we will play better Well even the Browns and Raiders can bring it in their own division. (And oddly enough, Cleveland can bring in your division too, but I digress). I am just saying we will play better If this is the case, every single fan should request a refund...because the team isn't performing up to their capabilities and just doesn't care. Also, this means that the team's problems run FAR deeper than any of us realize.

I am just saying we will play better I agree, we always play to our opponents skill level. That's not good, or what you want to aim for, but it seems to be true. I think we look so bad now because we are playing such horrible teams.
paredskinsfan
Dear OP, Have you even looked at the second half of our schedule? Playoff push in the second half of the season? If we are still playing the way we have been we will win 2 games in our last 8. Now if things start to click, then it's a whole different ball game.
