We're 2-2, not 0-4

Remember that. I've never seen so much panic over being .500. Okay we beat trash teams, but who cares? We swept Philly last year and what did that get us? .500

We've proven that we can be good, and then have it all fall apart; and vice-versa.

It's week 5. Relax.

Blache just had a mental breakDown

Zorn doesn't know what he's doing so Vinny decided to bring in a 70 year old bingo caller.

Campbell can't find the open WR

We Lost to the LIONS.... the freaking lions

All in all I think its a good season :insane:

Panic is hiring an "offensive consultant" four games into the season. Panic is trying to replace the QB you traded the barn for four years ago. Panic is a defensive coach not taking responsibility for his unit.

We're not the ones freaking out. We're just reacting to the panic of the management and 18 years of garbage that we've had to endure.

What has happened to this forum? It's become unbearable. People are *****ing left and right. Does anyone remember we lost to the Rams last year. 49ers too. But we also swept the eagles.

We play to the level of our competition. Because we lost to the lions doesn't mean were going to get crushed by good teams. We lost to the Giants by 6. My friend is a Cowboys fan, a diehard. He HATES the Redskins. I asked him what he thinks our record will be, he said 8-8 or if we're lucky 9-7. It's funny that someone who hates this team can be more optimistic than people who claim to "love" this team.

I think a lot of people on this board are in the closet cowboys fans.

We barely beat two bad teams. And we lost to an awful one.

Good, so if we don't sweep Philly again, we'll be under 0.500. And your point was?

We've proven that we can be good, and then have it all fall apart; and vice-versa.

We've proven we can fall apart. But when did this team prove the "vice-versa" part?

It's pretty easy to get off track and fall off the cliff. When is the last time you saw this team fall UP the cliff and get back on track?

Last time I remember that happening was when we had the guts to admit our QB was a mistake and pulled him. Zorn has already shown he won't do that.

And the other time I remember was when our future HOF HC turned his scheme upside down because he realized it wasn't working. Any chance of Zorn doing that?

We lost to the Giants by 6.

Come on, at what point was that game competitive? It was over before we even scored our offensive TD.

Yeah, Cowboys fans aren't exactly the brightest bulbs. Sorry if I'm not impressed that a Cowboys fan sees 6 more wins on our schedule.

So which 6 or 7 games does he see us winning?

it feels more like 0-4 than 2-2 to me. really it does. if the bucs don't doink two field goals we might have lost that game and DC would have been armageddon.

they've scored 20 or more points twice in their last 12 games.

the defense can no longer stop the run or play well on third down.

our head coach is in over his head.

our fifth-year quarterback looks like a second-year quarterback.

our receivers can't get open.

our o-line is either old or inexperienced and has lost their edge in the run game.

our running back is beaten up and can no longer carry the team.

our defensive line still can't get adequate pressure on the qb.

our linebackers....are acutally pretty good.

our secondary can't tackle for crap.

i wish they would just STOP SUCKING. i'm tired of it.

Thanks lol, didn't realize I was the only drop of optimism left

I got your back Monte.;) There are a few more amongst our ranks.

We could go 13-3 and half this board would still be pissed.

I've gotten used to them at this point.

(Half the board will probably be mad that I even posted this...:D)

I'm no expert ( unlike many on ES it seems ), but there actually are some reasons to be hopeful. We are being held back by stupid mistakes on a lot of players' parts. It feels like our guys are one kick in the pants away from focusing and getting things done right.

So who's fault is that? Everyone here has their theory, but the truth is it is everyone's fault. From DS & Vinny to the Special Teams grunt, everyone needs to pull up their bootstraps and kick it into a higher gear. No more medium. Time to get hungry.

If we can devolve so quickly in the middle of '08, why can't we start firing on all cylinders in the middle of '09?

It's good to see not everybody's down in the dumps on our team. I'm glad we're 2-2 at this point and not 0-4. The world isn't over. We're still winning and that's what should matter most.

It's not how you start, it's how you finish. The Giants started 11-1 last year, the Titans 12-1, and neither won a playoff game. The Eagles tied the Bengals (the Bengals!) and only won 9 regular season games... and still made the conference championship.

I'd much rather see a team start slow, face adversity, and grow as a unit while getting better than see a team that starts hot and fades down the stretch (a la the 2008 Redskins). It's almost as if every Redskins fan forgot about the 2005 and 2007 late season surges into the playoffs. Nothing is as bad as it seems and the overwhelming negativity right now after week 4 is downright absurd.

2-2 is looking worse to some people then 0-4.

2-2 with the way the team is playing right now looks like a 6 to 8 win season. That kind of season isn't getting the franchise anywhere.

The team is getting slightly younger under Cerrato atm, but this is still essentially year 6 of the team Joe Gibbs built. Still anchored by the same pieces. (offensively anyway)
