Monrovia_Redskin
Does anybody think there's a connection between the Redskins losing in the Playoffs twice to the Seahawks and the hiring of their QB Coach to be the Redskins Head Coach? I know Snyder knows how to make money, but when it comes to building a winning football team I dont know exactly how the machinery in his head works. Was Snyder that impressed by the Seahawks beating the Skins down in the playoffs that he had to get Zorn? Next crazy question. Is there any possibility based in reality that charlie casserly would ever comeback on board and work for the Redskins again?! :logo:
sideshow24
1. With Dan, all things are possible. 2. Money Talks= He'd come back. Should he? NO. Will he be asked? NO.
SkinsNumberOne
I'm sure it didn't hurt in the thought process, but keep in mind that Vinny also loves the WCO from his 9er days. I could see that also playing a role.
SnyderMustGo
I've explained the Zorn hire before and, in my opinion, it is clearly the result of Jason Garrett's success in his first year in Dallas.
derskinsfan
I think the losses to the Seahawks were a factor, yes. I also think I've read suggestions that Jim Fassel first mentioned Zorn as an OC candidate during the last head coaching search. Snyder makes football decisions like a fan would: impulsively and based on limited knowledge. Do you think he's been "scouting" Albert Haynesworth for years? I don't. I think he sees who's out there every offseason and goes after what is perceived to be the biggest catch. As for Casserly, I would have bet that he might have come back. But he seems plenty disapproving of this Lewis move. It's like it's stiring up personal memories of how it went down for him and he's disappointed in Snyder all over again. Monrovia_Redskin
I think the losses to the Seahawks were a factor, yes. I also think I've read suggestions that Jim Fassel first mentioned Zorn as an OC candidate during the last head coaching search. I forgot about Fassel almost becoming the Skins Head Coach. That definately thad something to do with it. I have a feeling Fassel is the main reason Zorn is the Head Coach. I know Zorn was supposed to be his coordinator... Califan007 The Constipated
1. Nah, I think Zorn's personality, coupled with his knowledge of football and how well he conveys his opinions and thoughts concerning it, won over both Snyder and Vinny. I do think his work as a QB coach helped matters, though, in that I think Snyder and Vinny wanted Campbell to be brought along asap... 2. Casserly would love to be asked back...but of all the incredibly stupid moves Snyder could make, THAT one would take the cake lol ...
