Looking for theories about wide receiver Malcolm Kelly's lack of production through the first four games?

He revealed today that he suffered ligament damage in his right thumb on the first pass play of the game against the Rams. Kelly said he's still able to play and practice but conceded that he's experiencing significant amounts of pain.

"When the ball hits it, every single time I catch a pass almost, it hurts real bad," he said. "But I have enough strength in it to catch the ball and hold onto the ball. But afterwards, I get up and it's just like pain starts shooting through it."

Kelly, who has 65 yards on six receptions through four games, said he has been told that he is at least 3-4 weeks away from playing pain-free and taking the field without tape.

"During the week sometimes when the ball hits it, it kind of feels a certain way - actually it feels pretty bad.," he said. "It's not like I can't go out and play a practice or anything like that. They just try to tape it up as good as they can. And then, come game time, you get that little candy shot in there, hopefully helps it out a little bit."

It is pretty amazing how clueless you are. Did you actually watch the game last weekend?

Me clueless? This coming from the guy that can't bring himself to ever criticize anything Danny or Vinny do? Hilarious. You defend them both like they're winning super bowls left and right. In fact, the only time you criticize anyone in the Skins organization is after they've been fired. I've noticed this about you time and time again. So and so is great and can do wrong when they're here... but then you blame them for everything when they're gone.

I've watched every game the past 30 years, my friend. Kelly has been open plenty of times this season. So has Thomas. Again, it is impossible for them to be as bad as their stats -- not even Vinny is that bad. The simple fact is Jason Campbell does not see the field or anticipate receivers getting open.

Now go get your shinebox.

You just lie. You come in here and lie to make it sound like you know football.

You have not watched every game for the past 30 years, because if you had, you wouldn't make such ridiculous statements. Kelly has yet to shake a defender......the deep fade to him was a touchdown if he had given one single move to his guy. Yeah the ball was thrown deep, but the dude is fast and young. Make a move, and get there. Instead, his defender is on him like glue.

Go back to football 101.

Nothing to see here....he can obviously play and catch the ball. Until I see him dropping balls left and right I wouldn't be concerned.

If it wasn't his thumb, it would've been his big toe. They're football players...it's part of the job.

You're right. Every number two receiver we have had since JC was under center has been historically bad. None of them can ever get open. It has nothing to do with JC's inability to see the whole field.

Again, whatever. I want JC to prove me wrong. But 40 starts is enough evidence to tell me he won't.

But I still hold out hope.

Kelly has YET to get open consistently and hes dropped two td passes. One in the Rams game that was right on the money and another albeit difficult one in the lions game.

I think its safe to say that Vinny blew 3 picks during the 2nd round of the 2008 draft.
