poidog22
I'd go with Gibbs first, but running a pretty close second would have to be either #28 or #33....it couldn't hurt the yungin's today to know that the best footballl player in that era was a Redskin. Statues in each entrance, and rename the sections after the greats, Cooke section, Jurgensen section, Riggins, Gibbs, etc. The single most memorable play of all time has to be Riggo's Miami TD run, but Gibbs is definitely the most important guy in Skins' history. While I'm on my soapbox, why don't they add Petitbon's name to the Ring of Fame!!!!! He was one of the very best Def Cooordinators ever! Look at what he did with the '91 team, especially in the SB. I agree that there is more than one Redskin that stands out. If you weed out Riggins for once being a Jet, then you may as well weed out Sonny for once being an Eagle and Gibbs for now being a part owner of the Falcons. I like the idea mentioned earlier of a Redskins Hall of Fame with several Statues with all of the above included- Cooke, Gibbs, Riggins, Darrell, Sonny, Sammy, Charlie Taylor, Monk spread out in different places throughout the stadium.....And dont over due it.-just the real standout players/coaches like above.
