REDALERT
And IMO, my answer would be h@ll to the no. Look! This is the NFL where the main objective is to produce and get better. So, if things are looking pathetic and there doesn't seem to be any light at the end of the tunnel, I say you abort. After reading alot of articles about this being the end for Jim Zorn, you have to wonder, is it really? And if so, then so be it. Sure, I understand making the change at the end of the season would be the most respectable way. But c'mon. We are terrible right now and I frankly don't see anything getting any better. I know it sounds like I'm preaching for the dismissal of Zorn but I'm not. What I'm saying is this. It seems like the entire coaching staff don't think that sh@t stink until you stick it up to they're noses and then they reply "It doesn't smell that bad". IMO, this type of non-sense carries over to the players, even though they can't really say much. What player or players do you know that's gonna come out and say the coaching staff stinks, really? Sure, you have a few knuckle heads in the league that probably would, but not hardly any on the redskins. But if I recall after reading an article about haynesworth talking to some other city media, he basically said "this ship is sinking slowly". All I'm saying is I'm not feeling sorry for Zorn or his feelings because they brought in another pair of eyes. And that goes for the entire coaching staff and/or players. I'm just tired of the coaches and the players wearing their feelings on they're sleeves because the fans BOO or the FO feel we need some help with the offense. What do they expect, for the dearly beloved fans to cheer when they look miserable against the worst teams in the entire league. Sure, I understand eveyone's not to thrilled about Snyder or Cerrato. But to say that they don't try to put a descent team together to be competitive is non-sense. Sure, they may lack in a few areas. But most fans in other cities would be thrilled about an owner that spends money to try and make the team better. Again, sometimes it may be the wrong players or position, but atleast he tries. And from all the money he spends, the fans spend and the rich history of the franchise. We as fans don't expect any thing less then atleast a competitive team, not some low bottom line whiners because the fans are booing or the coaches are being questioned. What I'd rather see is a team like this years Redskins understand how the fans feel as well as the FO about it's performance on the field rather then being in denial. And this goes for the coaches as well. Because if you're a coach and don't recognize the state of your teams performance against bottom dwellers. Then more than likely they're in denial also about they're limitations in this league and what positive criticism is all about. So, at this point, the new set of eyes can only help because you can't get any worser on offense IMO. And if they can't accept that, then good riddance and that's how ever you won't the door to hit you on your way out. HAIL..
More Complete
I already do. Poor guy. He must hate Snyder more than all of us combined.
Dan T.
He seems like an engaging, decent guy. I couldn't imagine what a meat grinder it must be being an NFL head coach. But they know what they're getting into when they sign up.
Burgold
Yes and no. What he's going through is tough and so I feel sympathy for him. What I'm going through as a fan is tough too and I feel sympathy for me too. However, this man is getting to live a dream/his dream of being an NFL Coach. How many people ever get a chance to roll the dice and be in charge of their own fate? How many people ever get the opportunity to live their dream? This man got the chance to be an NFL starting QB and an NFL Head Coach! How frigging cool is that. What happens after that is partly in his control and partly not, but to get that chance to be one of very, very, very few at the highest level of your field would be worth the risk and the pain. addicted
I feel sorry for no one in the organization except a couple people... 1. Vinny Ceratto - you fans need to give the guy some freaking credit and stop bashing him 2. Clinton Portis - Best years of his life wasted on this mess of a team. The man on another team with his talents would be All Pro. He really is that good 3. The entire receiving group - Every single one of these men would be better with a QB who could throw them the ball and are wasted talent here 4. Fletcher - One day brother you'll get the love and respect from your peers you greatly deserve Guys like Snyder, Zorn, Greg B, Campbell...I have no love for any of them
Gibbsisgod2006
You know who I feel sorry for us the fan who has to put up with this mockery of this ownership, the medicore play on the field, and being the laughing stocks of the NFL. Danny doesn't care if the skins win or lose all he cares about is making money. If Danny cared about winning as much as people like George Michael's say he does he would back off and let real football people handle the team but he doesn't and he won't. Its bad when your considered the Raider's of the East. I hate it so much.
ntotoro
****, no! He's getting paid better than I ever will to do a job he does about half as well as I do mine. Worst part is he doesn't think so.

SoCalSkins
I do. The guy isnt getting a fair shake IMO. He was never qualified to be a head coach to begin with. He is overpaid and will continue to get the remainder of his contract. He hit the lottery.

leesburgvaskinsfan
I feel bad for him too! He seems like a likeable guy and is willing to put the work in to put a winner on the field. As I stated in many threads in the past, if we go into rebuild mode, that puts us 2-3 years away from anything resembling a winner. The growing pains we're feeling now could prove to be beneficial down the road. How far down the road? Who knows? We're a tipped ball here and a dropped intereception there away from getting some breaks right now. For the most part, we're healthy at key positions (except for Randy Thomas). I'd like to see us continue working through this situatioin without yet another knee jerk reaction from the front office that will most likely make our situation worse. .....just my two cents. Hail! dexter's manley
No, if he didn't know what he was getting in to when he came to work for this morally bankrupt owner then he deserves what he's getting. I think he knew this would be his only shot - no responsible owner would have taken a chance on him - so he figured what the heck. Anyone who thinks a big name is coming here for next season is kidding themselves: Do you see a lot of big name coaches going to the Raiders these days? And face it: We ARE the Raiders at this point. Gibbs Hog Heaven
If he wasn't so stubbornly arrogant in refusing to accept that maybe, just maybe, his b/s, predictable scheme doesn't work, and it's everyone but him at fault, I might feel some sympathy for a man so patently out of his depth it's no longer funny. But he is. So I don't. Counting down the days to Lewis filling his report, and the bye-week change. :fingersx: Hail.
addicted
He was never qualified to be a head coach to begin with. He is overpaid and will continue to get the remainder of his contract. He hit the lottery. Exactly. I wish my company would say to me "hey we like your personality...take over the company and we'll pay you millions"...I'd know that I was over my head and would fail but hell I'd be rich so who cares? RAAZ227
I do. He works for Dan Snyder. It's not his fault he got hired as head coach. Remember he was hired as the OC. I think they should let him live out his contract. Yeah this season sucks but this team is one big knee jerk! If the next guy that comes in starts to suck it up, then we will be right back to where we are now.
ECU-ALUM
I do to a point...he is in over his head and he is trying to make it workout...but he won't make any adjustments when the rest of the league has already made their adjustments to him. Addicted...I admit I am guilty of Vinny bashing...but if I don't like a movie I speak my mind...when what I really should do is get up and leave so with that in mind...I have made my feelings known on him...time to stop. I agree with you also that the only guy I truly feel sorry for on this team...London Fletcher. If this team played with just 1/2 of the heart, character, and passion of this man...there would be no stopping this team.

Feel sorry for him and his fat contract? Yup. 3. A little bit. 4. I do feel sorry for him, he deserves a lot more respect than he gets. He should have been a Pro Bowler multiple times by now. Not sure why you won't have any love for Snyder but want to give Vinny props. Perplexing.
leesburgvaskinsfan
Right just ask Atlanta and Miami last year. The guy was very highly touted coming out of Michigan. Had one of the best careers of any Michigan QB, which includes a pretty impressive list. He gets drafted by a Buffalo team at the end of their dynasty of winning the AFC and takes a lot of blame there. Bides his time on the bench for years but no one ahead of him is hurt so he gets no chance until 2007. Plays lights out football and is not even given a chance to compete to play afterward. His career will end not ever knowing what could have been.
Elessar78
On some level I do. I mean he had no chance to succeed here. And if someone asked me if I wanted to be VP of my company—sure I'd say yes. jfr3ek
hell NO i do not feel sorry for ZORN! honestly i dont feel like he has what it takes to be a champion. He even said it himself when he first got here that he doesn't want to feel overworked. Well damnit ZORN, you have proved that you don't work that hard because we can't even put points up on the board.
