dwbiggs
Why does Zorn make a big deal out of the players not giving up, or not quitting like they are going above and beyond their normal expectations. They are getting paid to play as hard as they can. Its ridiculous to give them credit for something like that.

They are getting paid to play as hard as they can. Its ridiculous to give them credit for something like that. The same reason Gibbs did. What do you want Zorn to say? I am really starting to hate most Redskins fans (EDIT - on ES). We used to be a much more intelligent, classier bunch. The Cowboys fans, despite having ZERO playoff wins since 1996, do not complain as much as we do. Have we really allowed the Dallas fan base to surpass ours? Passizle
Yeah. Real rediculous for giving a person credi wen they fight through a difficult situation. Be sure to advise your boss of that before you next review...
Zazzaro703
Because with the team not playing that well and our fans booing the hell out of them, they could have easily given up. I was happy to see them turn it around as well.
DieHard86
This is our team. It would be nice if they blew people out, but they can't. The Redskins' biggest opponent is the Redskins, and the Redskins overcame the Redskins to pull it out.

I was happy to see them turn it around as well. THANK you. Could we make it harder on our own team? I booed after the Campbell fumble, and that was it. The picks to Talib weren't pretty, but we were throwing the ball down the field! People used to complain all the time "I don't care if it gets picked, at least give the receiver a chance!" Guess what - Campbell gave our guys chances! And still, the pitchforks and torches are out in full force.

Thinking Skins
probably because some on the team are giving up and so he's trying to reward or at least acknowledge those who didn't.
KingGibbs
As someone that likes to keep things in perspective I was very happy to finally see some fight in this team. On the other hand, it's about time and I was scratching my head a bit watching and listening to some of the players getting all emotional during postgame pressers after beating a lowly Bucs team. To me, it says that they had to give everything they had to beat a terrible Bucs team. Yikes.

To me, it says that they had to give everything they had to beat a terrible Bucs team. Yikes. Its easy for us fans to call them a terrible team. But the players are the ones going blow for blow with them. Any professional athlete will tell you not take wins for granted. When you win, you celebrate, dont take it or any other team for granted. You think it would be a little disrespectful of them to act like its no big deal and say "yeah, we won, but it should have been by more points, the team we just played sucks. Everybody knows that." bikie
I know what the OP is saying but this is the same game where we constantly hear: "when the bullets start flying, this guy keeps his calm" "what a warrior" "courageous effort" etc., it's just the dumb, lack of perspective, chiche bs that has been accepted into the game... bird_1972
To me, it says that they had to give everything they had to beat a terrible Bucs team. Yikes. Agreed. That's depressing. After 10 years of ownership, this will be Snyder's legacy: FAILURE.
dwbiggs
The Cowboys fans, despite having ZERO playoff wins since 1996, do not complain as much as we do. Have we really allowed the Dallas fan base to surpass ours? Last I heard they were calling for Romo sits to pee's and Wade Phillips job down there today. probably because some on the team are giving up and so he's trying to reward or at least acknowledge those who didn't. Then these players need to go...don't need quitters around here, especially for what their getting paid. I am really starting to hate most redskins fans (edit - on es). We used to be a much more intelligent, classier bunch. Well I suggest not reading posts like this. With the culture of mediocrity adopted by this organization there is going to be more and more disgruntled fans...face it. Could we make it harder on our own team? In short ...no...for years they have been selling how much talent the team has and what is it producing, year after year of "well they fought their guts out"

jnhay
Why does my boss tell me "Good work" every now and again? My job is to do good work, but bosses aren't just there to tell people what to do.
BigMike21
What Zorn says in the media doesn't really mean anything, it's what he says to the team is all that matters Exactly. I think we have gotten spoiled here just in the sense of how much insight Zorn actually does give in the interviews and press conferences. It's the behind doors things he says that really matters....when he is coaching. The rest is just coachspeak and who cares, everyone says that stuff. TheLongshot
I think the message is as much to the fans as it is to themselves. They didn't give up, so they ask the fans not to give up on them. Course, for some, it is too late, but at least the fans that were in the stadium came out and supported the team when they needed it.
Tin Man
Why does Zorn make a big deal out of the players not giving up, or not quitting like they are going above and beyond their normal expectations. They are getting paid to play as hard as they can. Its ridiculous to give them credit for something like that. Classic example of NOT a leader. KDawg
He said they didn't give up to keep the team together and looking at the positive, rather than drowning in the negative. It's the sign of a coach who at the very least knows how to hold a team together under tough circumstances.
