Johns Bass
Thanx for the tutorial - I is a beginner so it was a lot of help. For some reason one of my embedded images keeps getting moved off of the margin. It's OK on Photoshop and at photobucket. At any rate, it is a start - Thank You again. Soup
wow RCS, your best by far man. really like the coloring. nice job. That one really pops out. Sixx: your getting better very quickly. what is that your 5th or 6th sig? I couldn't make that when I started out. You have to work on your text and put some more effects in your sigs, you didn't have to use the micro text, there are a lot of brushes in the link I put up. This tut is just a base, once you get better you'll see that you can make a lot of variations with this tut.

I'm not good at following simple instructions. I will look into using them more and make a new one. RC that is freaking sweet dude.

Topaz strikes again. Soup, I hope you will do another tutorial. I ventured out and learned a lot about the custom shape tool while working on this. SIXX99, pm me anytime you need help with gimp. I used it before I got photoshop. rd421, I like your sig, also. The only thing that I would change would be to make Cooley on the right a little brighter. RocketCitySkins
How do you use the brushes from the downloads Soup posted? I don't feel like going through the trouble of sending a pm I'm guessing you mean how to install the brushes. Copy the gbr files Go to Program Files\Gimp 2.?\share\gimp 2.?\brushes and paste the files. I put a question mark because I don't know what version you are using, but if it's 2.4 or higher, the photoshop brushes will also work with Gimp. If you try to load a lot of them, though, it will really bog down how fast Gimp will open. The next time you open Gimp, your brushes should be loaded. The first file is named pgbp as just a file but it shows up in Gimp as Prowlers GBP. I had a hard time finding it.
