Dan T.
The Tampa Bay Bucs board summarized a Tampa area media conference call with Albert Haynesworth this week during which he said that the Bucs offered him more money than the Redskins, but that the Tampa Bay area was too tempting for him to sign there. http://bbs.buccaneers.com/showthread.php?t=180019 "Tampa was probably my first choice," Haynesworth said. "It was kind of a repeat of when I was coming out of college where (Georgia) was my first choice and I went to Tennessee. I like water, I like boats and I like sun. Coming to Tampa, there was a whole lot there. I have a whole offseason. If I went to Tampa, it would have been too much of a mix." Interesting. I hadn't heard that the Bucs were in the mix for Big Al.

LiveStrongSkins
Haynesworth gets on my nerves with this. He whores himself to every media market that had interest in him. Heard it with the Giants, joked about it with the Lions and now pretty much says he'd prefer the Tampa area. We get it Albert.

Bang
I thought this was pretty much common knowledge. I also remember when he came here he expressed trepidation that Blache wouldn't let him play his style of football and would force him into a scheme, which is what appears has happened. Mr Blache seems intent on forcing a square peg into his round hole. I'd like to see Danny insert his foot in there instead. ~Bang

JeepRyder
That doesnt make sense. A few months ago he said he chose washington because Tampa didnt have a good fan base like DC and he wanted to go somewhere where football was huge unlike TN. I dont think he knows what he wants. Im starting to think the "guy" London and Hall keep referencing is Albert when they say some guys think they have arrived but havent done anything for the redskins and somebody isnt staying in their gaps like London said. I-H8-DALLAS
This is where a "real" head coach would step in and tell him to keep his mouth shut, why he feels the need to talk to the opposing teams media every week is beside me.

Koolblue13
I like how he says "it would have been to much of a mix". Shows how serious he is about becoming that next level player. Some of you fans are so funny. Pretty much everybody was on board with bringing him in, regardless of prive and now want him to go after 3 freaking games. dexter's manley
Would have been better for the Redskins if this clown was in Tampa. Another worthless signing by our clueless owner and front office.
I-H8-DALLAS
What difference does it make? If he can't ride back from detroit with the other players because he had to go back to knoxville to clear personal matters up, talking to tampa media should be the last thing on his mind..... Probos
talented player, but what a dick He's talented??!?!? He's big, and fat,.....that's about it. I really don't like him,.....I mean,...REALLY don't like him.
dexter's manley
What's not to like about this guy? He drives like a maniac (edited: he wasn't drunk) last year and paralyzes some kid He gets winded after ever third play and needs to sit out He fakes injuries so he can get a golf cart ride to the locker room for some R&R I mean, really, what's not to love? GREAT signing Danny Boy! Does he have your personal cell phone number too - is he another one of your well-paid "friends"? Loser ON EDIT: I removed the deadbeat dad references. It's only an accusation after all. But I am still of the opinion that this is not a good guy - and yet another disastrous FA signing by our pinhead owner. Ghost of
Wait, I thought he was speeding but not drunk when he got into that crash where the other person was paralyzed? I'm pretty sure if intoxication were to blame, you'd hear about it. You may want to slow down on your accusations against the dude.
