Why do I find this so funny? I personally have a testimony of Jesus the Christ, my lord, my savior, and friend. Am I the only one that finds this just a little "sacra-eligous" ????. I feel like the Lord is shaking his head at me every time a snicker when I read these post.

I don't think it's sacrilegious at all. If anything we are pointing out WHY it's important not to trivialize God's power. Deion is blatantly using the name of Jesus for personal gain which equals "using the Lord's name in vain". If nobody stands up and says "Deion is wrong for doing this", especially Christians, it makes it look bad for those Christians who truly follow His teachings.

God is not shaking his head at you, he is shaking his head at black sheep Sanders for misrepresenting Him.

It's in MIdasites 4:12

"And lo, should thou own a compact or otherwise pedestrian and plebian vehicle, thine lot in life will be to pay full price for repairs. Should thy faith and humility move Our Lord God to bestow upon thee a Lincoln Continental, then it is thine divine right to never pay more than 1500 bucks for repairs."

Some months ago I saw Deion and Michael Irvin on some TV Evangelist program. They were talking about the mistakes that Michael had made, and how Deion had helped pulled Michael out of his situation. (Of course, this was before Michael was busted, again...) Deion really struck me as just being...fake. I NEVER believed in his claims of being a born-again christian. Especially since he had no ill-feelings about walking away with his ill-gotten gains from the Redskins.

He is a fake, phoney piece of crap. And I would NOT put it past Deion to have said what he's being accused of stating, especially since such cheap behaviour seems rather fitting for his character.

Former Cowboys player wins case over repair bill

7/14/2003 5:30 PM

By: Associated Press

DALLAS -- A judge in Dallas on Monday sided with former Cowboy Deion Sanders in a civil dispute over payment for car repairs.

The matter involves work done on a 1961 Lincoln Continental convertible.

The owner of the repair shop claimed Sanders wanted to pay only $1,500 of the total bill, which came to nearly $4,300.

The dispute involved what work had been authorized to be done.

Sanders said he could have paid the higher amount, but it's the principle of the matter and he was tired of getting ripped off.

State District Judge Joe Cox ruled in favor of Sanders and the $1,500 he's already paid.

An attorney has been trying to collect the bill from Sanders since 2001 on behalf of Phil Compton.

Compton on Monday said Sanders had been giving him small sermons about how the money cometh from unbenounced places

"I was lying there in bed at 4 am when I was awakened by these awesome lights in my room. It was like a 747 jumbo jet had landed beside my bed, and there was an incredible rush of wind that felt like a helicopter had landed. I remember opening my eyes just the slightest bit and saying, 'God, if thats you, take me Lord,' and I was trembling all over." - Deion Sanders

Man, why couldn't Deion have been taken that night? Taken to a far away place. What a friggin moron - a pathetic man. Go away Deion - go far far away. Please!!
