NoCalMike
I am tired of getting excited about the Run Defense, stuffing the run only to see the pass coverage fail so miserably at getting off the field on 3rd down. What is it about our secondary and/or scheme that constantly leaves guys open?

MonkFan8
The obvious answer is "gigantic cushions when they're really not needed" (i.e. Jackson's first down catch on 3rd and 4 when Rogers was playing 10 yards off for no reason). With the athletic personnel we have, I fail to see how we don't bring more pressure and force QB's to make quick decisions. The D-line played well today, an extra blitzer or 2 on third down would work wonders.
lashondajones
would you rather them give up 30 points like some of the more agressive defenses today? some of thos aggressive defenses are playing teams that are NOT the worst team in the nfl. we just played a team that has won less than 5 games in the last 2 years. youngestson
If you give a 8 yard cusion on third and 3 it's bound to be a first down. Revolutionary, but there you have it.
kingjames
We cant cover the short routes on 3rd and 6 becasue our cb's are 10 yards off the ball. Why cant our cb's jam the recievers at the line and man up? I have no problem with our cb playing soft but not on 3rd and short.

gca61087
when it comes down to it, this defense does not surrender a lot of points. sure, they're not perfect. their biggest weakness is third down defense. but they have allowed 16 and 7 points in the first two weeks. i'm perfectly happy with that.
