Why is Betts Still on this Team? (Plus Roster Rant)

Betts is just like Portis only not as good at anything other than his hands. But, he isn't as good of a third down back, because of the way Portis blocks....he isn't even a great receiving back.

We may be drafting a RB next year in addition to OL. It's always an exciting pick to take one high in the draft....but, we need to load up on OL.

Portis and Betts need to go...I realize Portis would be a huge cap hit but damn...he is a mere shadow of the back that played in Denver. He gets to the second level and either trips and falls down, or runs out of bounds.

Yeah im starting to notice that too. I have not seen portis as a home run threat for a while. I always seen him as getting good yards, but never a home threat.

It would be a great idea to keep Portis fresh. We aren't smart enough to realize it. Please, get someone with an IQ above room temperature in the FO.

And one last thing.....for those suggesting that we need a new #2 back:

1. Portis can't do crap behind this line. But a new number 2 back could??? Really???

So are you suggesting that Portis sucks? Because if Portis can't do crap, what is the backup(I assume a lesser player) going to do?

If it is the line that sucks.....getting another backup running back, one who also won't be able to run behind the line, doesn't solve anything.

And to the OP.....if you believe that our #2 back has anything to do with how much we suck, you are crazy. He hardly gets the ball. Except in passing, where he does very well.

You may just as well ***** about our backup tight end, our backup punter, or our backup long snapper.

None of them determine **** for this team. None of them are used.

Did you even read the entire post, or did you just look at the title and come in here to say someone is clueless, another is crazy? How about you read the freaking thread in its entirety and state whether you agree or disagree (exactly what the board is about - discussions). If you took the time to read, you would see I was not saying Betts is the reason the Redskins suck.
