ACW
AP: Florida Texas USC Alabama Ole' Miss/Penn St. BYU Cal. LSU Boise St. COACHES': Florida Texas USC Alabama Penn St. Ole' Miss LSU/Cal. ACW
FSU will beat BYU (I think they play this week?):yes:Sad that Tech-Michigan is the marquee matchup (or GT-Miami). Texas Tech at Texas should be fun.

SkinsHokieFan
VT over Nebraska, demonstrating even more how weak the Big 12 isThis coming from the ACC fan????? Well considering how awful the Big 12 was last week, and in general this season (BYU over Oklahoma, Houston over Oklahoma St) I think the Big 12's status is greatly over inflated With that said, the ACC is awful It really is right now the SEC and everyone else way below
sundown
SEC is definitely the top dog conference. I do feel that Nebraska is going to roll into Blacksburg and give the Hokies a tough game. I feel the Huskers walk away with a victory though.

That was actually Tyrod Taylor's best passing performance of the season. Ryan Williams and David Wilson weren't playing I like VT this weekend to take care of a QB starting his 2nd game and a still developing Nebraska team. Unless I am mistaken, the ACC is 12-7 OOC so far, with 2 losses against 1-AA teams (and 2 more near losses to them).

ixcuincle
VT - Nebraska is too close to call. Nebraska is damn good under Pelini. Michigan against some lowly Michigan school EMU or something, look for more Forcier wonders

The A.D needs to do what the A.D did down at Ohio St., schedule the tougher teams, instead of the directional Michigan teams. I would not mind a Michigan vs LSU or Michigan vs Alabama matchup after Norte Dame.

Especially at home That was a much different Nebraska team last year at this time. that was Pelini's first year. The defense this year needs to play better especially with the young linebackers but as long as Ndomukong Suh can cause some havoc in the backfield they should be ok. The Husker offense is not like the offense of old. they have a killer passing game right now. Points should not be an issue for Nebraska, just keeping the Tech offense in check will be the test. They have a massive chip on their shoulder from last year. I think this will be a great battle between two squads but yes i do see the Huskers taking this. DCranon21
You mean like Navy, Toledo, and New Mexico State this year? Well actually, next year, Ohio St is playing Miami. Norte Dame is improved but not great. But your right, I forgot they are playing Toledo and New Mexico  But hey, Toledo may give the Buckeyes a run for their money. This is also a much different Virginia Tech team, a year older at all key positions And, Virginia Tech can cover the punt this year. You won't see a slow white guy take it 85 yards in the 4th quarter for a TD Taylor's best passing game, with freshmen WRs, was last season. A little better red zone play calling by the VT O staff, and it would have been a 50+ output for the VT offense. But sigh, we ran reverses at the 9 yard line VT wins by 10 plus. Too much speed, too much Ryan Williams and David Wilson, in Blacksburg, and a year better

As long as we can keep your running game in check i think Suh will cause enough problems with the pass rush. I have alot of respect for the Tech defense but the Husker O-line is very good this year and we are very deep in receivers. Lee can move the ball around well in the passing game and can also run when needed. Nebraska 28 Tech

Looking forward to Nebraska fans in Blacksburg, as Nebraska rolled out the red carpet for VT fans last year Here is a stat that will worry you. Nebraska gave up 3.8 yards per carry against Arkansas State. And Nebraska has not had a real test yet against a top flight team, while Virginia Tech has already faced Alabama Granted, it was only Marshall, but Ryan Williams and David Wilson were each at 10 yards per carry on Saturday VT 31 Nebraska

There is alot of pride being a blackshirt for Nebraska. so now that they are playing a good opponent I hope they can get in gear. We will see Saturday! I am sure it will be a fun game to watch! Spartacus87
I'll take VT beating up on Nebraska. Going into Blacksburg is like a death sentence right now in college football. That place is just wild for visiting teams, and Suh is an absolute monster in the middle and likely 1st round pick this year, but I think VT's going to be able to take this one with Ryan Williams carrying the rock enough times. That kid is ridiculously fast. Big 12 isn't that good. It's basically Texas, and maybe OU can put something together once Bradford comes back, and a bunch of mediocre teams. USC and a good half of the SEC are the dominant forces in college football. Everyone else is just looking up at them. Not sure about this BYU/FSU game this weekend. Unless Mickey Andrews wakes up from the reality that it's no longer 1998 and learns to scheme a defense for 2009, we could be in for a long day against Max Hall and BYU's overall size on offense compared to our d-line. Christian Ponder and friends should be able to make some things happen with our overall speed and athleticism on offense though. Good quote from the latest practice: "My boys ain't talkin' to nobody until they start blockin' somebody." FSU Offensive Line Coach Rick Trickett on turning down interview requests for his offensive linemen.
