Commbrkdwn
Not trying to defend him - it's an honest question to my fellow Redskins fans. By my count, he did 3 (maybe 4) things terribly: - the INT, 2 yards past the lines of scrimmage. This was inexcusable - missing Moss on the deep route (although that couldve been Moss' fault) - checking down to a run play on 3rd and 8 w/ Betts in the backfield - the fumble (also inexcusable) Otherwise, he threw some sharp, crisp passes to Cooley and Randle-El. Very few dump offs. And keep in mind, he did all of this on the road against one of the NFLs elite defenses. I think Zorns playcalling, Portis inability to take advantage of the few opportunities he had, and Deangelo Hall's idiocy were all bigger factors in our losing the game today. WSHRedskins3ATLBraves3
Three or four horrible things is too much in the NFL. Also, he wasted two of our three timeouts in the second half. He better improve and quickly to save his job.

Blackest Eyes
I thought Jason was okay today. He, in my opinion, did not single handedly lose the game for us. However, his turnovers did contribute to having to fight from behind.

Commbrkdwn
He was never in sync. Agreed - but how much of that was the MISERABLE play calling. When he threw, he often threw very well. And then Zorn would go right back to the run.
DaGhost
zorn's play calls were completely obvious to the defense and we really only tried to run left.... my only real knock on campbell was the garbage INT and that he doesn't step up in the pocket enough... i think santana played one of the worst games he has ever had as a redskins

What you failed to do is follow up on the two "inexcusable" plays ultimately resulting in 14 Giants points and the check down on third and 8 essentially being as good as a deep INT. Also, our defense struggled but Campbell and the offense could not bail them out by staying on the field longer. I dunno the overall stat but we must've been destroyed in time of posession. Bzapf
He didn't read the defense. He blew 2 timeouts. His audible to a run on 3rd and 8 was one of the stupidest plays I've seen on a football field. Horribly misleading stats. The play that he threw the pick on was also soooooo stupid. Just played like crap. Oh and he didn't step up in the pocket when he needed to. And he only threw the ball over the middle.
Skinz4Life12
i don't blame campbell for going to a run on 3rd down. zorn needs to stop running to the left on 1st and 2nd down and putting him in 3rd and longs. how about play action on 1st down one time? SirClintonPortis
Well, there are two ways to get negative criticism. Either what happens on the screen is that a lot of plays are ineffective or there were plenty of good plays, but some glaring bad ones(Kyle Orton fell victim to this in preseason); JC's performance could be argued to fall into the latter category. Frankly, this is another one of those games where almost no one deserves a pass because it was all around bad, although excessive negativity is still something to keep one's head on a swivel for. skins4eva
Zorn and Campbell are both terrible. I question any coach's judgment who thinks Betts is a 3rd down back--Campbell is just completely worthless as a QB. It's embarrassing at this point. IHOPSkins
......- checking down to a run play on 3rd and 8 w/ Betts in the backfield.......explain this one to meGood players WANT the ball in crunchtime We are going to run for 8 yards vs the Giants...up the middle? JC is scarred And I am in fear of another lost season Todd would have at least TRIED to get the first....JC gave up before the play started
redskins59
The guy is a sissy, plain and simple. He changed the play from a passing play to a running play because he was afraid to take hits. He also checks down a bit too much. He's afraid to take risks. We won't be going far if he's not replaced by Collins.
RDSKNfaithfull
people who say he didn't step up in the pocket were not watching today. this was the first game where he did step up numerouse times and complete passes. He was constantly put in 3rd down situations and Zorn called nothing to slow down the best pass rush in the league. He was not tom brady out there today but the whole team played bad and never gained momentum. This was a total team loss from the top down Fletcher and Randle El (minus the bonehead loss of yards on the reverse) are the only ones that played well. Lets look at the difference between Campbell and Eli, under pressure Eli moved in the pocket and made things happen, hitting receivers downfield and MADE plays. All Campbell did all day was throw little 10 yard and under check down passes. Campbell simply lacks the intelligence to play the position, he can not read defenses and is unable to improvise and make things happen. The most telling point about Jason Campbell is when the Redskins were trying to acquire Jay Cutler, Denver picked Kyle Orton over Campbell……………………nuff said!!!!!!!
