SkinsLegacy44
Sorry to use a golf analogy, but that was the toughest game on our schedule and we hung in there. We outplayed our expectations by beating the spread (6.5). There is no other d-line in the NFL like the one we faced today. Our offense did not get a chance to settle down. Let's give credit where it's due....The Giants Defense is sick. Look for 5+ TD's next week.
Sticksboi05
LOL, we will just run the ball next week when we are down 21.
jkypoo
I feel the same way. Their defense rocked us. Our defense shocked me (in a bad way). Next week...will be much different.

WSHRedskins3ATLBraves3
Next week will probably be different, but you should measure yourself against the best (the giants aren't the best). We will probably win by 3-7 next game....

Supreme Wu
The spread is based on expectations, we barely (barely) scraped past the lowest expecations to be blown out. YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYyyyyyyyyyyyyy
skin_finatic
I agree, everyone is blowing this loss WAYYYY out of proportion, we hung in with arguably the best team in the conference on the road. Just a couple mental errors and turnovers cost us, and we'll learn from it. If your looking at threads on here without seeing the game, you would guess that we lost by more than 30. I think because the of stupid mistakes that we made, we should have done a lot better. Playcalling was god awful!
NomadicSkinFan
we Pared it? WE LOST. Your analogy ****ing sucks ass!!! Not as bad as your attitude. I was hopeful that we'd win this game. But realistically, I didn't think it would happen. Playing the Giants on the road in the opening game of the year! It sure would be nice to get a home opener. The home opener has the same value as a home playoff game. The energy for the home team is insane. Giants would be tough even if we played them at home. No argument about it. Philly is the class of the conference. Followed by the Giants and Cowboys with the Skins being the doormat.

The best team in the conference????? They're not even the best team in the division. They're behind Boys and Eagles. This was not a par, IMHO. It was a bogey. I can't see Skins finishing out of last place in division.

Did you watch the game? We looked totally inept on both sides of the ball. Campbell looked confused at usual. Moss was M.I.A. Where was Orakpo? Did he even play today? Gibbs Hog Heaven
We outplayed our expectations by beating the spread (6.5). Take out a fantastically disguised and executed special teams play, and a give up TD by the Giants at the end, and we don't even nail double figures. Hail. wysknz1
I hate point spreads and fantasy football. Oh and Madden PSP or Xbox or whatever. No one cares about style points. It comes down to two things. WINS & LOSSES

Maybe..but philly lost mcNabb for some period of time and Dallas looked like crap against a bad team. They had 3 giant plays for tds cuz the bucs defense sucks and their defense looked bad. But I said arguably the best, not the best. You can't deny the Giants have the best d and o lines in the game right now though. But not making excuses for the skins, They were outplayed this game, but its not such a big deal like the fans on here make it out to be. You would think we lost to the NFL's worst team ever by a huge margin.
bubba9497
compared to 2008 the offense made improvements over last year.... if anyone wants to admit or not, we got some sacks and a couple turnovers yes there's room for improvements, but at least we had a shot if we make the on-sides kick..... we were out of it early both games last year. playing two years in the Meadowlands in a row for game one, was completely an unfair advantage for the the Giants
TD_washingtonredskins
Take out a fantastically disguised and executed special teams play, and a give up TD by the Giants at the end, and we don't even nail double figures. Hail. That's not fair. Take away a pretty fortunate fumble/recovery/TD by Osi and a missed easy tackle giving up their first TD and it's a different game as well. Without those two plays (two plays that should never have happened), they score 10 fewer points. It's basically the same argument you're making. hailskins11
To me it looked like our first two drives sliced into the woods.
MurrayH81
The Sky is neither cloudless nor falling. Our offense (with the exception of the final drive) didn't look like it was in the groove. We had sparks, but no steady production. At times, Campbell looked confused and unready to play. The play-calling was vanilla. The defensive tackling in the secondary was spotty. Some of our players lost their cool. The job done by the referees was not professional. The hometown crowd was involved and loud. The announcing crew was as Giants biased as I have seen. I am sick of the sound of Troy Aikman's voice. He adds little value to NFC East games.
