Rocky52Mc
Aaron Ross out for Giants Posted by Mike Florio on September 11, 2009 3:47 PM ET Giants coach Tom Coughiln said earlier this week that he was "optimistic" starting cornerback Aaron Ross would be able to play in Week One, despite a hamstring injury. We're "optimistic" that Coughlin should have been more pessimistic. Ross is listed as out for the game against the Redskins. Elsewhere on the Giants' injury report, tackle Adam Koets (ankle) and linebacker Clint Sintim (groin) are doubtful, and cornerback Kevin Dockery (hamstring) is questionable. For the Redskins, cornerback Carlos Rogers (calf) and tacke Mike Williams (ankle) are probable.
No Excuses
They only have three healthy corners. Spread em out with Moss, Cooley, Thomas, Kelly and ARE all game long. Run deep routes, tire them out and then really bombard them in the fourth quarter.

DarrellsMyHero28
Their D-Line is still damn impressive but now JC should have an easier time getting the ball down field.
HailToTheRedskins14
It's nice (relatively speaking, no injuries are "nice") to see it NOT be us getting injured for once (knock on wood). I have a good feeling about this game, and a starting corner being out doesn't hurt either.
fdarugar
Didn't Terrell Thomas take this guys starting spot anyways?
aREDSKIN
Moss, Kelly, ARE, Thomas, Cooley, Davis, Portis, Mason- Can they cover them all? How about a 8 man Chinese fire drill play.
ouvan59
We've got two 6'4" WRs. Send them deep and throw it up for grabs to whichever one isn't doubled. With rookie corners it's a recipe for pass interference.

I told myself ill never give PFT hits again, because nothing personal just the way they like to report things in a negative way before all the facts come out irks me. And he takes dirty shots at my guy Ocho Cinco

FBURG_SKINSFAN
I say we go four wide they wont be able to match up with there top corners out
Rocky52Mc
I say we go four wide they wont be able to match up with there top corners out 4 wide would destroy them. They only have 7 defensive backs on the team that can play Sunday. With Ross out that leaves only 4 CB's. Let's hope the coaches work this to an advantage. wvtbred
Even with their DB's being thin we still need to establish the run game. If we can keep them honest and get them to load the box then the sky is the limit.

Hunter_R
How'd we do in week 14 in 2007? That was against the Bears, right? We did great once Campbell went down. What's that got to do with the Campbell exploiting a bad secondary?
ouvan59
That was against the Bears, right? We did great once Campbell went down. What's that got to do with the Campbell exploiting a bad secondary? I wasn't being serious. I was mainly pointing out that that was last year's team. This is this year's team. We have different weapons and a more experienced coach. It all depends on if Zorn is willing to let him players make plays.
