Dan T.
Here's an interesting bit of trivia: Guess how many of the top 10 career reception leaders are in the Hall of Fame. No fair looking it up. Answer: Only ONE, Art Monk! Obviously, many will be in time. But it is a good indicator of how inflated receiving statistics have become in the last 20 years. 1. Jerry Rice 1,549 1985-2004 3TM 2. Marvin Harrison (36) 1,102 1996-2008 clt 3. Cris Carter 1,101 1987-2002 3TM 4. Tim Brown 1,094 1988-2004 2TM 5. Isaac Bruce (36) 1,003 1994-2008 2TM 6. Terrell Owens (35) 951 1996-2008 3TM Andre Reed 951 1985-2000 2TM 8. Art Monk+ 940 1980-1995 3TM 9. Tony Gonzalez (32) 916 1997-2008 kan 10. Keenan McCardell 883 1992-2007 5TM
RenegadeTK
wow... and three was a pretty modest guess. makes sense if you think about it though.
MattFancy
I got it right! I was thinking of Jerry Rice though instead of Monk. That's pretty crazy
SonOfWashington
A lot of those guys are eventual Hall of Famers, though.
DeMarco Murray 29
A lot of those guys are eventual Hall of Famers, though. Agreed. Rice, Carter and Brown should be locks. Marvin and Reed have a good chance. Gonzalez will make it. Bruce, Owens and McCardell I don't think get in. For the record, I said 2.

I actually though Cris Carter was in already with Art, so that shows how up to date I am huh? Brown, Carter, Harrison and Rice should be locks, and Andre Reed's lack of rings shouldn't go against him IMHO. Gonzalez will get in for ripping up the TE record book, and I wouldn't be at all surprised to see Owens get in, just because. Hail.
Dan T.
... and I wouldn't be at all surprised to see Owens get in, just because.Hail. Here's something eye-opening about Terrell Owens... only three people in NFL history have scored more touchdowns than him - Jerry Rice (208), Emmitt Smith (175), and Marcus Allen(145) to TO's 141. Santana_Fan
You didn't know Monk got inducted? I'm sure he knew he got inducted, just not the "reception leader" part.

TO should be a lock. You can say all you want about his antics but the guy has one of the best resumes of all time. He easily has hall of fame numbers and it will be a real shame if he doesn't get in.

I doubt he'll get a ring at this point, especially considering he's in Buffalo now but you can't argue with his stats.
Reic
I guessed 3, I figured there had to have been more in there with monk. Looks like I was wrong.
