PennVic
Any insight into this would be great. A few months ago the girlfriend stopped recieving a magazine subscription she had been getting for a few months. I went the magazines website to look up her account and the address on file was changed. I contacted customer service and had them change it back. Over the next couple months this happened 2 more times and threatened that if the magazine company changed the address again I would be cancelling her subscription (as I had bought it for her for Christmas). I found out today that she tried to order something a month ago with her debit card and couldn't because there was an issue with the billing address. According to her, her billing address had been changed to the same address as the magazine had (which is in the same county as she lives). She also found out her wireless phone company had also had this same address today. All 3 cases the address the company had on file was the same WRONG address. She hasn't noticed any weird charges on her debit/credit cards. I am about to run a credit report for her and see if anything looks weird on that. Does anybody have any insight as to what might be going on? Thanks. :dallasuck

PCS
I'm sure you've already done this, but just in case,I suggest finding out just who authorized the changes of address or find out where the companies in question got the requests for address changes from. I would definitely use caution here and think about the possibility of having your girlfriend start to look into changing things up. Seems to me that something is clearly wrong with this picture. Larry
I'd think (based on no experience whatsoever) that you should call the cops. After all, you have the address. Shouldn't be too tough for the cops to figure out who's doing it. And yeah, getting a credit report, and changing your account numbers on your credit cards and bank accounts sounds like a real good idea, too. Let's face it. This person isn't going through all of this just to get free magazines.
PennVic
Thanks for all the replies. Her credit report has the "Bad Address" as one of her previous addresses on 2 of the 3 reports, but no suspicious activity. We will be documenting everything and most likely be filing a police report.
