Its not that they don't look right. Every black guy I know has this thing about "thong" flip flops. They think its gay or something. They are like "Its a THONG flip flop". Its just a cultural thing.

Oh, ok. I never knew that. But come to think of it, I don't see many black dudes in thong flip flops. Usually they rock the Nike ones. Which are cool, too. But those are for athletic shorts and whatnot.

Yeah I'll vouch for AE's durability... The jeans I have on right now are probably 4 or 5 years old... I have had problems with them ripping in a certain spot, but that's been every jean I've ever owned...

But $50 for a pair of jeans that lasted me 4 years, I'll take it... Hell I've still got shirts from Sophomore year ('01) in my closet... My polos are probably from '03 and they still look pretty new...

The cheapest jeans I've ever worn are ones I got from Old Navy. I bought some there before because they were cheap and I just wanted some to wear to work. Man, those things get holes in them really fast. And you can literally tear them like a sheet of paper.

I like AE. But im not that fond of their shorts. The material they use seems pretty cheap. But overall its a pretty good store.

Why the hell do people care what other people wear? Seriously.

And why talk crap? I'm a normal guy. I wear TapOut and Affliction. Hate me, fine...

I don't stereotype based on clothing. I stereotype on personality. Who cares if someone wears Abercrombie or AE or any of that stuff? Is it really that big of a deal?

I don't care what you wear... be good to me and I'll be good to you is my motto. :)

Although we went at it about Affliction and TapOut, I agree with you 100%. No one should be judged based on clothing.

HOWEVER, we all affliate a particular brand with a particular type of person based on past experiences and preconceived notions, its natural. And because clothes are geared particular segments, you find a lot of similarities in the people who wear a particular style of cloths.

Everyone just needs to be above that.

Problem is, it doesn't seem like everyone is.

No skin off my back. But it's kind of sad that people judge so much on clothing. We've all done it a few times, but if I do it I can change my mind at the blink of an eye with a little convo... Alot of people can't get passed the clothes (not specifically talking just ES here... But in general.)

I like to think most of us on ES who are poking fun and going on are just venting and just having a little fun. I doubt many people here are going to be too stuck up talk to someone or write someone off based on what they wear.

yes, this is true...sorry if I offended anyone last night, I was just stirring the pot. Honestly, if a friend of mine was rocking surf shoes and didn't surf, I'd give him or her a lil **** about it (everytime they wore them;)), but that'd be the extent of it. Just for ****s and giggles. I know I have stuff that I wear that can totally be made fun of, it's cool.

sounds like at least one is.

A person should wear whatever the hell they want to where...and when you get old enough and mature enough you don't worry what other people think of you, you where what you want. People that judge others on what they choose to wear are just plain immature and/or ignorant. JMO ;)

Like I said before, it's all in fun. And, being a girl, it's like programmed into my brain to care about clothes and what people wear. I can't help it;) But, seriously, don't read too much into it.

(Cue the girls who come in here to say- Not me, Robin, I don't do that!:silly:)

i think we're taking judge too literal...

nobody is saying they look down on anybody

but i mean if you see a guy in a super tight t shirt with his hair spiked up and his hair hel gelled up...well i might think youre an *******...it has nothing to do with the brand or cost of the clothing...

like i dunno if somebody is wearing a rocawear hoodie...he might like rap

I wore Vans when I was in 7th grade when I didn't skate a day in my life- and I was called a poser. So I stopped wearing them. It's character building.

At least you didn't wear Airwalks. Those things were LAME. I rocked the Vans. I think I still have them, actually. But I did "skate" for a short time, haha.

Thats just cause no one liked you in the 7th grade. don't blame it on the vans

I had druggies and smokers liking me in the 7th grade. I was like NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO way! I was such a prude. I remember this guy in math class told me the guy across from me liked me, and couldn't I see him staring at me everyday? I knew he smoked, so that never came to be

:silly:
