Burgold
Okay, I think we've got a good enough selection. Please choose your top five bands/singers from the eighties. After this, we will have a battle of the ages. Here's the list that you generated in no particular order:
GibbsFactor
So why can't bands be in more then one era, like AC/DC, Aerosmith, etc...
Califan007 The Constipated
So why can't bands be in more then one era, like AC/DC, Aerosmith, etc... I think he said because they might end up competing against themselves lol...
China
I must've missed the threads where nominations were taken. Right now I also seem to be missing the poll in this thread.

Burgold
Yeah, and when we get down to it, you are really going to comparing a whole band's history to another ones. Most of us won't or can't go down the list and exclude songs that wouldn't fit. So, eventually the Stones will be the Stones of the 60's, 70's, and 80's or God forbid their more recent stuff. Burgold
I started the nominations thread this morning. I could have let it go a bit longer, but ES cuts off threads at 30 and I didn't really want to have a dozen threads per decade.

ACW
Tough decision, but: -Green, Foos, Offspring are some of my faves (the latter 2 ALWAYS put out at LEAST solid music, and Green Day was probably the 2nd most influential band) -Nirvana: THE most influential band -RATM: just badass, and Morello's a guitar BEAST

That would take care of Blink 182.
