T.O.'s been on a barnstorming tour promoting his football camp on Dallas radio stations, but he saved his strongest comments for AOL Fanhouse's Calvin Watkins. T.O. told Watkins that he was disappointed that he'd been assured twice that he wouldn't be released. "I'd say it hurt," Owens said. "I was very disappointed, especially when you established a lot of trust gained for three years that I was there, and when somebody blatantly tells you you're not going anywhere on two different occasions, and you've established that bond. If you don't have a man's word, and it doesn't stand for anything, there's really nothing left and there's not a whole lot of trust." And since T.O. will basically spend the entire season airing his grievances against the Cowboys organization, we'll pull the plug on him at some point. How does now sound? stickyshooZ
Why does it matter if he "trusts" him at this point? He doesn't play for him anymore. After being shuffled between 4 different teams, you'd think he'd get that you can be released/traded at any time, no matter what your employer says. BigMike619
TO made a deal with the devil when he went to Dallass and now he is shocked that the devil lied and wasnt trustworthy? Hey TO, water is wet bro. Watch out!!
tr1
Why does ANYONE believe what Jerruh says?
HapHaszard
Why does ANYONE believe what Jerruh says? and on another note, why would anyone care what TO says? The guy is a self centered pain in the ass. Its not like other teams felt he needed to remain on their team. Jerrah came out of his delusional state for 5 minutes and he's gone.

Are they the same Cowboy fans that are saying Williams is a #1 receiver?
The Caretaker
Some people NEVER change. Owens is a GREAT player, he will make your teams better, but he is a pain in the long run. He will remain happy as long as he gets the ball, and Dallas doomed itself at times last year because they tried too hard to force him the ball. Mr. Jones
I think Owens is less of a pain then he used to be, but I think more then anything the media exagerates what he says and blows things that should be minor issues out of proportion.
BillyKilmer
I think one of Jones great errors is trying to be accepted by players as a friend. You can not be the boss and the buddy. The further Jerry is from the players off field lives the better off both would be.

I mean, its great that he cares about the players...but just like in regular jobs, there are (and generally should be) boundaries.

paloosa
Why does anyone care what these two idiots think or say? T.O. is a self-centered egomaniac and Jerry Jones is the same way. Both of them are in love with themselves and think they are the best people. The real reason Jerry let him go is that T.O. wouldn't let Jerry use T.O.'s phrase. "I love me some me."
