Rock the Bells 2009 once again at Merriweather Post.

Don't think I'm going this year but for true hip hop fans it is strongly recommended. Last year it was amazing but this year there's nobody I desperately want to see like A Tribe Called Quest last year.

Just saw Opeth & Enslaved at the 9:30 Club last Wednesday. Awesome concert.

The only other concert I am pretty sure I am going to is Porcupine Tree, which will be sometime in September. Maybe something good will come up between there, but I doubt it. I am not paying $50 for a ticket either.

I have tickets for Incubus.

Fri, 08/07/2009 Philadelphia, PA

A song for you.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2hro5cfVjr8

Some more words for you.

Tonight we drink to youth

And holding fast to truth

(I don't want to lose what I had as a boy.)

My heart still has a beat

But love is now a feat.

(As common as a cold day in LA.)

Sometimes when I'm alone, I wonder

Is there a spell that I am under

Keeping me from seeing the real thing?

Love hurts...

But sometimes it's a good hurt

And it feels like I'm alive.

Love sings,

When it transcends the bad things.

Have a heart and try me,

'cause without love I won't survive.

I'm fettered and abused,

I stand naked and accused

(Should I surface this one man submarine?)

I only want the truth

So tonight we drink to youth!

(I'll never lose what I had as a boy.)

Sometimes when I'm alone I wonder

Is there a spell that I am under

Keeping me from seeing the real thing?

Love hurts...

But sometimes it's a good hurt

And it feels like I'm alive.

Love sings,

When it transcends the bad things.

Have a heart and try me,

'cause without love I won't survive.

:cuss: Nissan

:cuss: Merriweather

The DC area REALLY needs a pavilion that's Metro-accessible.

Saw some of the DC101 Chili Cookoff.

Seeing Elton John and Billy Joel.

Friends with cars. They are a godsend ;)

Anyway I've been to one concert this "summer" - Kings of Leon :silly:

Might hit some Innsbrook After Hours shows this summer since I'll be close to Richmond, and I'm going to see Kelly Clarkson in August with my gay friend who is totally in love with her, lol.

so far this "summer," ive seen....Girl Talk

Girl Talk is one hell of a show, love that creativity.

For those interested, there is a hip hop show, "DMV Showcase" Friday, June 12, 9 p.m. @ Jammin Java in Vienna. Should be a great show, lots of local talent, namely Bugs Raleigh from Alexandria.

If you haven't heard of them, check them out, www.myspace.com/bugsraleigh

or download their new album http://www.zshare.net/download/60249387200fc6be/

Judas Priest, Whitesnake, and Popevil at Merriweather on August 22nd. I got great seats in the front. Heaven and Hell with Coheed and Cambria are playing the 23rd, and I may get tickets for that show yet as well. You can buy both shows in a Package Deal. On sale now.
