I'm fine, thanks to the vicodins and percocets. Doc says it's a really bad sprain. I had a splint on it for a couple days, then I went to the Orthopedic Doc yesterday and they suggested a hard cast to immobilize the ankle. Pron is not an option, leave it to the leg humper to go around telling people things like that wow! Virtualnes is gonna be my downfall! I rolled my ankle on Father's Day about two years ago...I was being a klutz and stepping off of my front porch like a million times before and I just took a bad step. to make it worse..I was getting a pair of shoes I had been trying to find for years as a gift. :doh: I thought it was broken because I heard a sound that sounded like my knuckles cracking and I couldn't walk...I got to the E-R and they examined it and determined I would've been better off with a break...the tendons and ligaments were shredded. They tried to splint it for a week and ankle braces for a month but none of it worked...I finally opted for the surgery and three weeks in a cast and on crutches. I was confined to the upstairs...I looked at the stairs like they were my mortal enemy. Vicodin didn't do much for me...percocet. though awesome! I found a new hole that the dogs had dug up. I'm hoping that it's nothing as serious as what you describe but I guess only time will tell. When the cast was put on I mentioned having to where a cast for a month and the docs response was "if you are lucky". I have found that so far my biggest challenge has been taking a shower. trash bag and tape are not things tha should be required for a shower. I did find a product last night, it's a big latex sock that you put on over the cast and then you use a pump to get all the air out and it forms a waterproof seal. Going to check about those this afternoon. Percocets replaced the vicodins after the first 2 nights when I had to take 3 of them to get to sleep. Now all is right with the world.
