darrelgreenie
Ok, if Holmgren's assessment on JC is so correct, what does it say about the fact that Danny was so set on trying to replace him? Imo it shows that Synder was wrong and handled the situation like a fool.
redskins2473
It would have been interesting to hear why Holmgren thinks JC is a "really good young QB." Is he saying it because he sees something that leads him to believe he can be one of the better QB's in the league or is he just talking in general terms that he has talent? IrepDC
Holmgren doesn't need to speak for Campbell. Campbell will shut all of his doubters up this upcoming season, with his play. Football debates are fortunately still settled on the football field. Shut'em up Jason!

Is he saying it because he sees something that leads him to believe he can be one of the better QB's in the league or is he just talking in general terms that he has talent? What does anyone expect Holmgren to say about any player in the league? "That guy really sucks!":hysterical: Use your brains people. Every coach speaks highly of players not on their team, and of other teams themselves. Imagine Zorn every saying, "That Romo sits to pee is a joke. He has no talent." The fact that anyone would take this article to mean anything is embarrassing.

Voice_of_Reason
If the team struggles this year, I could see a scenario with Holmgren as the VP of whatever, and then picking a coach, and likely retaining Zorn. He might/might not want to coach again, but I'm pretty sure he will be an executive somewhere. And if the 'Skins fail again, unlike most, I think Vinny is on his way out. Mostly because he said so. But also because Dan seems like he's basically given Vinny the reigns on personnel, and if it fails, it's on him.
Tyron Biggums
Bringing another QB in, will put us in reverse again. We have to be the team to have released/signed the most QB's in NFL history. I want the team to win too, we're all Redskin fans. It's just you can't expect a QB to go out and light the field on fire, when he's constantly changing systems. Listen to any analyst and what he says anytime they mention Campbell, they'll bring up continuity. He'll start to open up with familiarity. We already have a offense that is built on the run, and limiting turnovers, but I feel with more familiarity to ONE system, we'll begin to see him open up on throws, that we claim that he is "hesitant" on. It's like a bike (IMO), you can't just be learning how to ride a bike, and go out and do BMX moves, you have to familiarize yourself, and grow accustomed to what you're doing before you can go out and do things at the highest level. :applause::applause::applause::applause:
panamaMike
They play a more passer friendly system because they have a QB that can handle it. We have made excusses for JC too long. The only thing he has done to make this team a playoff team is get hurt so Collins could take us to the show two years ago. As for Danny letting Gibbs pick the talent, thats how we got JC in the first place. Gibbs said JC reminded him of D Williams- like Capt. Quige reliving his glory days looking for the locker key. HLF
well unfortunately after 36 starts, jason has shut nobody up. and its doubtful he'll shut anyone up after this season either. but theres always hope right? Actually he did shut everybody up in the first half of last season with alot of ppl saying he was a MVP canidate at the time. 2nd half of the season comes around and we play top rated defenses who now have tape on Z's offense, the O Line breaks down, CP gets banged up a lil and we slump. For those reasons you dont give up on your QB. Kudos to Holmgren who actually knows alot more about this game then Danny and us fans combined. Santana_Fan
They play a more passer friendly system because they have a QB that can handle it. We have made excusses for JC too long. Have we even been a pass first team? We've had QB's before in the past, (even in our SB years) that could have handled playing a pass friendly system, but we'd still run the ball a lot more. If we have made excuses for JC, then so have Hall of Famers who actually understand the game. I've heard Sonny, Aikman, Rod Woodson, Terrell Davis, and a lot more players say that Jason needs continuity in one system. Look at all of the winning teams, they have continuity. They all keep their pieces in place, and just build upon what they already have. They do NOT start to build, and take down (like we do).

Has there ever been a MVP winning qb who averaged 1td per game? If anyone on the Skins deserved that kind of praise it was CP.
myzhi
Holmgren is right. We need to be patience with JC. Look at the results with Young and Hasselbeck. In the meantime, we should let our All-Pro & future HoF QB man the postion until JC is ready. Like, the way Holmgren did it with Montana and Favre. Ooh wait, think I am missing something important with our situation...

Im just telling you what the "analyst" were saying. Him and CP were both playing exceptional during that part of the season. I wouldve gave it to CP too but JC wasnt doing much wrong. myzhi
Don Majkowski, All-Pro & future HoF QB. Trent Dilfer, All-Pro future HoF QB. Don't understand your point. Please explain. Majkowski got hurt and was replace by Favre in September of Holmgren's 1st year and never started again. Dilfer replace injured Hasselbeck, but went back to bench when Hasselbeck become healthy. Vicious
Whatever. More like, you have no point. Cases like this, ignore is best option. Your point is we should go out and get a HoF quarterback so we can wait around to forge a HoF quarterback. It's ridiculous, and borderline trolling. We're trying to make a quarterback, just like Hasselbeck, with the same guy that crafted him. The idea that we should keep recycling through Quarterbacks is pathetic, sad, infuriating and retarded. It takes time for a quarterback to blossom, or is Drew Brees trash because he got replaced? Get freaking real man.

Holgrem could be patience with Young and Hasselbeck because he had All-Pro & future HoF QB starting. We don't have that luxury. Comprehend? As for Brees, I believe he blossom because Charger's drafted Rivers and he can see the waiting on the wall. He grew balls and took on the challenge. That's why I wanted use to draft 1st & 2nd QB and put same pressure on JC. Instead, we have Mr Afraid of Competition and would have asked to be traded. Yeah, I'm sure it had nothing to do with his ridiculous accuracy. Competition? It would have been a competition? You are technically insane if you think it would have been an actual competition. Quarterbacks take time to learn.
