Nissan: Setting New Standards for Ugly

So your GTR will now be 60k instead of 80k? Those things are expensive to service.

60k? Maybe for a used, non-convertible. I pray I can get one for that.

As far as the service, I believe the prices will drop in time. I won't be going to Santa Moncica for an oil change.

I just can't stop thinking about this car.

It may be the best production car ever made.

no way that thing is for real.

and i thought they coudln't do worse than the honda element

See for some reason I actually like the Honda Element...I guess it doesn't look as ugly and strange as some of these other boxy vehicles. Plus I'm loyal as hell to Honda and they can do no wrong. :)

Motortrend did a comparison recently with these cube things:

Also, here is their First Test feature on the Nissan:

My opinion is that they are ugly, cheap, and underpowered. IF I were to buy a new car in the next couple of years (that's a big if; I prefer used) I would get a Hyundai Genesis Coupe. RWD, 300 hp, leather standard. I've had an '03 Tiburon GT for four years, have only had it in the shop for routine maintenance. Of course, that'll cost me 25k. I could spend 15 or 20k on a low-mile fourth gen Trans Am and be even happier.

This is correct. If I were to buy a new car it would be the Genesis as well. its lines are clean, sound system is great, has the speed and the handling, the efficiency, and looks really nice in all black.

As far as Nissan goes, I absolutely love my Supercharged Xterra with sport package. I loved my Altima before that (it lasted 198,000 miles before throwing a rod right up into the hood of the car on a trip down to Elon College). I actually like my Xterra so much I dont want to buy anything other then Nissans, but that Hyundai Genesis is the best vehicle for the money in my eyes.
