Mickalino
Tampa Bay Storm headed to Arena Bowl. And like their sister team, the Buccaneers did, they go to the championship with a star player who is an ex-Redskin. Can you name him ?
@DCGoldPants
Calvin Kinney right? He was in the XFL also.
DeathByLinebacker
Sad day for us Predator fans. Of course is only Arena so it's not too sad. For the Gator fans on this board, Travis McGriff made a fantastic catch in the first quarter of the loss. The little guy was AFL Rookie of the Year. One Dollar
First city to have an AFL & NFL championship in the same year! There are some eerie similarities with the Tampa Bay Storms 5th AFL Arena Bowl Championship and the Bucs first NFL Superbowl Championship... 1. Both had 12-4 records 2. Both had the number one defense 3. Both were number two seeds in the playoffs 4. Both faced the league MVP in the championship game 5. Both forced 5 turnovers in these championship games 6. Both scored in the 40s and held their opponents in the 20s in the championship games 7. Both are from Tampa Bay Gonna start calling Tampa TitleTown soon

OrangeSkin
Watching the AFL is like getting a great BJ only to have your partner get up, spit in your face, and walk out five minutes into it.

Agreed. I never could take a sport seriously, where a football can bounce off the nets and still be a live ball. Too much luck involved. DeathByLinebackerSad day for us Predator fans. Of course is only Arena so it's not too sad. If that was a sad day for Predator fans, then how about the day their coach was killed last week. One Dollar
OK titletown may be a stretch... Since the Storm & Bucs won championships in the same year (a first for any city) and they did it with #1 defenses in thier respective league we'll call Tampa..DefenseTown :) Originally posted by OrangeSkin Watching the AFL is like getting a great BJ only to have your partner get up, spit in your face, and walk out five minutes into it. Spoken like a fan with no team to follow in his city or one that has a team that stinks all the time AFL is a great 'filler' in the NFL offseason and until you actually go to a game you really don't know what your missing. Sure it's not NFL but either is college football. In facyt I find AFL much more exciting than lopsided college ballgames where the opponants are hardly evenly matched. gridironmike
AFL is some good ball (albeit different) and I hope Snyder gets the Warriors on the field in the next year or two. I'd love to see some talent develop in the Warriors and move on to the Redskins. Sorry for the Orlando fans and the loss of their coach. Good job Tampa and you can scratch the Bucs off that list this year! So much for their Title Town aspirations!!
Soliloquy
Originally posted by One Dollar until you actually go to a game I'm sure an AFL game is much more enjoyable live. It is awful (IMO) on TV. The field is WAY too small.

Obviously that is sad too, although it hadn't happened yet when I made my original post. I'm not sure what your point is.
