Playsmart30
somebody will wear 21 again. I love ST but u cannot retired that number. I think redskins waiting for 1st round DB to wear it. Like Mays FS from USC
WSHRedskins3ATLBraves3
#21 should never be worn again. I doubt it will be.
Skelly Skin
Interesting topic. I agree with alot in here that it shouldn't be totally out of question. However, it needs to be a proven player. I agree that a rookie coming in and taking it should be off the table. Permission should also be sought... It would just be.. weird.
rd421
21 should be added to the list of unofficially retired redskins numbers. It is there was an article last year about those numbers and the full list was in the articel 21 was def there...I think it was on the Redskins Blog
SoCalSkins
As long as Snyder owns the team, no one will wear that number.

Skelly Skin
Yes, his family.. same thing Moreno is doing in Denver. Tehcnically, they have no say, of course.. but out of respect.
bushwack
somebody will wear 21 again. I love ST but u cannot retired that number. I think redskins waiting for 1st round DB to wear it. Like Mays FS from USC Seriously? There's no way the Skins draft Mays in next year's draft, we are set at safety for years to come. Also if the #21 is ever going to be worn again by a Redskin (I hope that never happens), it is going to have to be worn by a proven vet that can handle the baggage that will come with wearing that number. I don't think a rookie DB would be able to handle the responsibility or scrutiny that comes with wearing that number, especially if it was a FS that was drafted in the next couple of years (i.e. Mays). SonOfWashington
The guy that would ever wear it would be the guy that makes Skins fans say "if anyone...him." But I don't see that happening in the near future.
Travdaskin
I wouldn't mind LaRon, Moss, or CP wearing it for one year, but they won't wear it now, no need to, the season to wear it was last year, so I think they should retire it...
Shilsu
Why Landry... He hasn't done anything on or off the field to warrant wearing Sean Taylor's 21.
addicted
Ill be honest and say that I dont even like seeing someone in 36 but I dont say anything because I know its too nitpicky. I wear my #36 jersey sometimes and people ask me who is the player. It's nice that some people remember Sean was #36 :point2sky
Taylor 36
As long as Snyder owns the team, I doubt that another player will ever wear number 21.

Taylor 36
Why Landry... He hasn't done anything on or off the field to warrant wearing Sean Taylor's 21. Thank you. I know that Landry is a hard hitter, but he is still not in Sean's league as far as his abilities and talents. I don't see any reason for Landry to wear that number. He was Sean's teammate for about a half a season. So, I don't get why he fits in the same category as CP and Moss.

Old Dominion Monarch 06
Truthfully I can't see anyone joining this team that would even want to bear that number out of respect for Sean. Some shoes just can't be filled.
rick1796
I wouldn't care even a little. i know who Sean Taylor was and he was more than a stupid number. I get seriously weirded out by fans talking like he was the the best player ever. There are easy arguements that he wasn't the best safety in the league. I wish he was still here, and he wasa dynamo on the field, but, again, it just seems strange how he is hero worshipeed. My problem i guess just expressing it. RenegadeTK
i dont think it will happen. what happened to williams was terrible, but he wasnt as big to his franchise as ST was to ours. that said... i dont think KM should've done it. maybe in a couple years when the players who know williams arent on the roster anymore. it just seems a little disrespectful to do it now. Oldskool
i dont think it will happen. what happened to williams was terrible, but he wasnt as big to his franchise as ST was to ours.. Denver fan would disagree completely with this assessment. Add to the fact that he was just as popular as Taylor was with the fans and his team mates. There really isn't any good reason that #21 wouldn't be given to another player that asked permission from the team, Taylor's family and did a few hours a month of charity in his name. Skin'Em84
If ST would be grandson ends up on the team, I'm fine with that. Or if his daughter plays.

Add to the fact that he was just as popular as Taylor was with the fans and his team mates. im not saying what happened to him wasnt tragic. but williams played one season and wasnt even the best player at his position in denver. i definitley dont think he meant as much to that franchise as ST meant to ours.
