SonOfWashington
You needed to check the website for that? I was thinking that too. He should definitely be in or at least in consideration. It seems like he's never even in the running.

2cents
Hanburger, Russ, Jacoby, and I would maybe be crazy, but I think Dave Butz deserves at least a good look. I mean really, from I think 1977 or so when he got here until he retired, you DID NOT run up the middle against the Skins. He was a very underappreciated fantastic player. SonOfWashington
Um yeah, I don't have the whole thing memorized. You? At one point I could tell you the seventeen Redskins enshrinees (probably still can; haven't done it in awhile). I'm actually wearing this shirt today that I got from the same place. Mark The Homer
Um yeah, I don't have the whole thing memorized. You? These discussions have come up periodically. Most of the regulars on here know Hanburger isn't in the Hall. Yet.

SD Skins fan
Hanburger was never real friendly with the media which hurt his chances to be inducted after the 5 year wait. I think his best chance will come with an old timers commitee selection.
Dan T.
Im shocked that Gary Clark doesnt get more buzz. The guy had great numbers. In arguing against Art Monk, Peter King used to say that Gary Clark was the Redskins wide receiver teams had to worry about. So now that King voted for Monk, I expect him to lead the campaign for Gary Clark. I won't hold my breath though.

Mark The Homer
My feeling is, for the love of God, put Hanburger in. How do you make the pro bowl NINE YEARS - four of them on losing teams with **** defenses, and not get into the Hall forty years later? Come on. CM916
Grimm not being in is more of a head scratcher. Not one Hog last I checked. Though when I went in 2007 they did have an Art Monk display in the museum in and effort to stop us from buring it all down.
illone
I don't know about Clark. He won't get in. The Hogs deserve. Maybe not every last one of them, but Grimm, Jacoby, and Doc Walker should. Now that I think about it you have to throw Mark May in there, he was stalwart in both superbowls.
Skins1957
Hanburger was never real friendly with the media which hurt his chances to be inducted after the 5 year wait. I think his best chance will come with an old timers commitee selection. He should get in some day. Was a 9 time pro bowl player. As a pro he was considered as one of the best linebackers of his era and was elected to the Pro Bowl nine times during his career, the most in Washington Redskin history. Despite this, he has yet to be nominated or inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. He was a Four-time First-team All-Pro in 1972, 1973, 1975 and 1976 and a Second-team All-Pro in 1969 and 1974. Additionally, he was either a Pro Bowler or an All-Conference selection every year from 1966 though 1976 with the exception of 1971—receiving post-season honors in 10 of 11 seasons in that span. In 1977 he was injured and returned late in the year to record a 3-sack game against the Los Angeles Rams in the season finale. He played in 1978 to finish his 14-year career. In his career he picked off 19 passes, recovered 17 fumbles and recorded 46 sacks. [1]
Skins1957
What are everyone's feelings on Len Hauss.. not on a championship team which probably hurts him. But in his prime... Hauss was drafted in the ninth round (115th overall) of the 1964 NFL Draft. He started his first game at center four games into the 1964 season, a job he would not lose until retirement.[1] Hauss helped lead the Redskins to the Super Bowl VII in 1972. He started 192 consecutive games for the Redskins between 1964 and 1977.[1] He was named to the Pro Bowl each year between 1967 and 1972. 6 times in the pro Bowl!!!
