And yet again they abandon DC to go up to Baltimore (sorry, I don't consider Merriweather Post "Washington DC".) Not to mention that I avoid Merriweather Post like the plague. Also, I think the date will conflict with my vacation anyways.

Bleh.

I wish this was like five years ago, before they started releasing garbage albums.

If they did some sort of Scenes From a Memory flashback tour I would be there in a heartbeat. I was fortunate enough to see them at 9:30 club several years ago, though, and I got to meet Petrucci.

For all of you DC locals.

I'll be going to the 8/1 show and will be coming from WV, about 5 hours away. I see that the Post is in between Baltimore and DC. McCartney is playing the same day at FedEx. How bad do you all think that traffic is going to be? How much time should I give for delays once I get into the area? I've never been to DC before.

It shouldn't affect you if you are avoiding DC entirely. I don't know where you are coming from in WV, but if you go up through MD and I-70, you shouldn't have a problem.
