Kosher Ham
how about one cable provider? I have used the same one, techinically sat..for years. I would get discounts. No remorse from me for American auto industry. Spend more money on cars...less on spaceships.
Dictator
here's an article i came across today... http://www.popularmechanics.com/automotive/new_cars/4315314.html They advocate getting rid of the patriot/Compass. "Between the two, the Patriot is better. But neither one registers a blip on the mediocrity scale. And neither one offers the kind of off road capability real Jeeps needs to remain authentic." While this is true of the compass, the patriot does offer very good off-road capability. A company named expeditions west did a review of it two years ago. Plus both vehicles offer great MPG for a non hybrid SUV.

As long as they keep the current design teams in place for jeep, I'll be happy no matter who owns them. They've done some great work the past few years. They really have, at least for the actual Jeeps (TJs/ JT's/ Rubicon Unlimited). The rest they could stop making and I wouldn't notice.

Kunia5
I'm sure they know what takes to make a reliable, popular car. Hopefully, they will focus on innovation, engineering, and execution after the bankruptcy. And not be lead by bean counters. Or management survivors (see Rick Waggoner). The new Grand Cherokee looks awesome. I could live if they cut the Compass, Commander (which is done anyway) and the Liberty. The compass is not trail-rated. I've never seen a liberty off road. 88Comrade2000
just save the Jeep Brand. That's all I care about. Actually that is probably the only thing besides the minivan that will survive. Someone will buy the Jeep brand because that brand has worldwide potential. I told my Subaru dealer to tell Toyota to buy Jeep. It would be perfect, Subaru-Jeep. I figure GM or Ford would buy the minivan. Also, Nissan wants Chrysler's truck making factories since they have alot of demand for their trucks. Chrysler is done and what they have of value will be sold off in pieces. Chrysler's value: 1. Jeep 2. Dodge Caravan/Chrysler Town and Country minivans 3. Their truck factories- Nissan wants that capacity 4. Their dealerships- A chinese auto company would be interested so they could enter the U.S. market with a dealership network already ready. Other than that, there is nothing else of value. My parents has has 4 Jeeps over the years. 1978 Jeep Wagoneer- That thing was huge. 1984 Jeep Cherokee 1999 Grand Cherokee 200? Grand Cherokee- mom got another Cherokee a couple of years ago

Navigators, Jeeps, Hummers and Corvettes for everyone. No punitive restrictions, taxes or mandates on Oil exploration and refinery building domestically. Lets flood the market and make gas $1.00 per gallon and cap total gas tax at 50 cent.

Of course I know. I've been pointing out how for the past three years they were thwarting measures to actually make us independant of foreign oil, writing mandates and punitive laws that make financially unfeasible to drill in CONUS as well as allowing lawsuits to prevent building more refineries or domestic drilling to create artificial oil shortages. Pushing the bogus oil shortage agenda and having the liberal media bash SUV drivers had the young and stupid believing we must phase out oil driven vehicles. When the masses do switch to hybrids, city, state and federal governments are going to come up with a way to offset the billions of dollars of loot err taxes lost from the then extinct gas tax so it probably will be a distance tax and recharge tax. Which wouldn't make a technology based on seawater/ solar power good to those that want their cut.

"Energy Independence" is a complete fiction that is pushed by both parties due to, most obviously, win short term politican gain. The energy issue is also largely misunderstood by not only citizens but also by elected officials. We cannot and will not wean ourselves off oil (and notably 'foreign oil') for the simple economic reason that all other 'alternatives' are simply too economically destructive to our country and they fall far short of how superior crude is in comparison (the environment will take a backseat despite our best intentions). This is the plain truth. Sorry Prius owners.
