hunterx
Last year I shot about 36 rounds of golf, maybe a bit more if you inclue going to par 3's or executive courses. This year I'm already at 11. It's so expensive when you add up range balls, green fee's and of course lost balls. Sometimes I go to expensive courses (for me anyway) which cost about $70-90, then other times I just go to cheap courses to balance out my budget. Anyway, I have been shopping around for memberships at local public courses. It may cost over $2000, but for free green's fee's and range balls, it's much less than what I would pay at over the course of a year normally. Looking for courses out near the 267 corridor, Reston/Herndon area. Reston National's membership is shared with Virginia Oaks, so I could play at two courses which is a nice perk. Herndon Centennial is under $2000 but that does not include range balls. I can't afford a private club unless I sell my car, so I am just looking for public course annual memberships which inclue balls and greens fee's. Any suggestions? Thanks! Midnight Judges
Don't know about memberships but I can recommend a few cheap courses. To me, it's gotta be a nice course to be worth membership because I would get sick of it. My folks are members at Fairfax Country Club. I never get sick of that course because it's a challenge, a cool design, and it's extremely well kept. Upper Marlborough golf course in Maryland. 25$ to ride on weekends and $10 for your second round. Greendale golf course in Alexandria, pretty cheap. Prince William Golf course is cheap. Enterprise Golf Course near landover is moderately cheap. Fairfax national in centerville, green's fees include range balls. Brambleton, Algonkian, and Westpark in Loudoun county are cheap. Forrest Greens is a decent deal. Not that I've exhausted all my cheap golfing options in Nova or anything.
