Anyone see Zorn on with Larry tonight (Redskins Nation)?

When Larry asked Zorn about the draft and Jason he seemed to me anyway to give a canned answer. When first asked he even clenched his jaw just a bit but that could be just because he is tired of it all.

Anyone else see it and your thoughts?

Obviously Zorn is caught between a Rock(Danny) and a Hard place(Vinnie):hysterical:

I watched it. Michaels asked the question but then kept talking. Zorn closed his mouth, I don't know about clenched, but it did seem to me like he inhaled rather deep. Almost a backward sigh. He also clasp his hands in front which in body language is supposed to say "I'm on the defensive and closing myself off to you". JMO.

Well, that's part of the job. Any coach that steps into the red, black and yellow has to understand that Danny runs the show and will always run the show. I really like zorn as a coach, maybe not an OC calling plays, but I like him as the skins head coach.

He sure didn't look comfortable. Rather gaunt. Hands clenched throughout. Soft spoken.

He did say that he talked with JC throughout that time of talk about Cutler.

Yet, Campbell, when he was asked at that time whether he trusted the Redskins organization, he sure didn't mention that he trusted Zorn.

Maybe Zorn was totally honest with Campbell.

Maybe Zorn doesn't trust Campbell. (I'll bet he wants to but he needs Campbell to take a big step up)

No, Daniel Snyder does not believe in Campbell because he doesn't pull a Matt Ryan. What Matt had was blocking, plain and simple.

Daniel Snyder doesn't know football, but he pretends he does. He is our General Manager. He is the shot caller, he cares about one thing, making that buck. He will make the big splash in the off season so people will buy the tickets for a team that scraps its way into the playoffs sometimes and is too old to compete at the end of the season. The reason we throw away draft picks is because we don't know how to do draft. We do not have the pros in the front office.

We are perpetual losers, Daniel Snyder is fine with that. We gross so much money it is easy to hit the salary cap and still make huge profits. Winning does not matter because you can just go out and snag Albert Haynesworth, sell some jerseys and put the asses in the seats. Who cares if we have to plug the other holes with 35+ year olds. Who cares if we couldn't even afford a cheap RT from cleveland or seattle. We got ourselves the big name.

The thing is the economy is bad, I guarantee there are empty seats even right now, so he went for Jay Cutler.

You know why they don't care if they throw away two first round draft picks on Chad Johnson? Money. You automatically get draft picks, it's an asset that is given to you as a football team. He uses that asset that is nearly worthless to him in order to make money off of it. Ocho Cinco jerseys, people buying the seats to go see Ocho Cinco, people watching to see Ocho Cinco, all the while it looks like he is trying to get us to win. Imagine that, making millions of dollars off of an asset supplied to him for free.

It does not matter if our team wins or not, we gross so much money even when we are losers. Our team is just a show. Why do you think he brought in Gibbs? He knew Redskin fans wouldn't ride him for failure and would fill the stadium and keep the money train going. Then when Gibbs was gone he tried to get Fassel THEN CHANGED HIS MIND, because the fans, the ones that were going to fill the stadium, were pissed and he would lose money.

When we play like **** this year because we don't have linemen, he's going to fire Zorn. He's going to get Shanahan or some other big name coach and our entire fan base will "Believe" again and keep on going back to fill the stadium and buy the jerseys.

What ad do you have to close.. It ain't for Landry, it ain't for Fletcher, it ain't for Portis..

Our team is not built through the draft, it is not built with stability, it is not built for success. It is built for profit, period.

Or could it be that Dan Snyder has coaches, a staff and a gm who all dont believe that Jason is the future??

Fact is, nobody knows Snyders feelings in regard to Campbell. But IF he is indeed looking for another qb, its because he does want a winner, and doesnt believe that Jason will provide that.

And he also got the best defensive player in the NFL.

Duh- of course there are empty seats right now-season hasnt started :silly:

So explain to me how Snyder is going to make millions on jerseys (which btw they sell for between $70-$100 apiece) and 8 home game tickets?

And then if that senario would have happened, he would have had to pay Ocho Cinco five to six million dollars to play.

So your upset because they want to market a hot commidity ???

Of course our team is a show, so is everyother team in the NFL, in fact the whole darn NFL is a show. And its a very big money show.

I just cant see why anybody would be so pissed off because we have an owner who is a very good buisiness man and wants to make money.

I can understand not agreeing with some of the decisions made, but to say Snyder doesnt care about winning is ludicrus.

Did you hear him after we beat Philly in Philly last year. Surely you must have, as every news service had it covered. Now why the heck would a multi-millionare act like that, if he didnt care about winning.

I know Danny bought the Skins because he is a fan of the team, but he is not a football man, he is a money man. He knows how to look at the bottom line not the Offensive Line. He should admit that he is not a football man and stay out of the FO. Danny only cares about wins from a fans perspective not a football perspective. If the team loses and and he fills the seats then he is happy from a business perspective.

The great teams draft well, develop well, sign the right players, and have owners that either know football or know to stay out of the FO. Because of our owner we get some of the right players, draft badly and dont really develop alot of talent that stays around.

Red black and yellow?

ROFLLMAO you mean maroon black and yellow right? :D heheheheh

sorry couldn't resist.

I kind of picture Zorn pulling a Logan (Martin Lawrence) at the end of Blue Streak to Paul Allen (owner of the Seahawks)

"I'm a Redskin now!"

--A Redskin?!

"That's right. The Maroon (looks back at the Skins banner,) the Black and the Yellow!"

http://voices.washingtonpost.com/redskinsinsider/campbell-says-hes-ready-to-mov.html

Campbell said he spoke with Coach Jim Zorn after completing his workout today at Redskins Park and said that Zorn was very supportive and encouraging, telling him that they are in this together and that Campbell is his quarterback.

"That meant a lot to me," Campbell said, "to know that he's behind me and he's been behind me all along. You need to have that trust with your head coach because he's the one I'm going to be dealing with most of the time. I know that the coaches and my teammates are behind me. I trust them. That means a lot to me."
