Are there any movies you liked on first viewing but disliked on second viewing?

Tried to condense the thread title.

THe question is are there any movies you liked the first time you saw them, (whether it be in theaters, at home, on computer, whatever), but disliked when you saw them a second time.

The classic example for me is the movie The Animal. I saw that movie in theaters and died laughing. When I watched it a second time, like a year later, I just sat there with a blank expression trying to figure out why I laughed so hard the first time.

Two other movies for are Transformers and 16 blocks. I think i liked transformers the first time because i was in a theater and the visuals and sounds were stunning. When i watched it again on HBO, the dialogue and directing were so ****ing pathetic that I immediately hated the movie. That love story was the most contrived thing I have ever seen in a movie.

16 blocks, i saw in theaters and really liked the way it was paced and it seemed like a fast moving film from start to finish but when I watched it again, the story really wasn't all that great and there wasn't as much happening in the movie from what I remembered.

Anyways, what are your guys' movies.

None that I can think of...My views on movies pretty much remain the same from the first viewing.

There are some movies, though, that I did really like the first time but had no real desire to watch a second time, like "American Beauty". But that's mainly because watching it a second time couldn't match the experience I got from the first time.

I think pretty much every movie I watched as a kid, I probably thought Ninja Turtles was a great movie when I was 9, but if I watched it now i'd probably think it was the worst thing ever put on film.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is still awesome. I picked up the DVD a year ago and have watched it several times in the last year. In fact, I made my girlfriend watch it a few months back (I don't know how she went through childhood without seeing it) and she liked it, too.

So many great lines. Like when they're watching the Tortoise and the Hair cartoon and Michelangelo is yelling at the turtle to go faster and finally exclaims, "Ninja kick the damn rabbit!" :hysterical:
