LaxBuddy21
My wife and I will be celebrating our 1-year anniversary in June and I am trying to think of something special to do for her. I thought about having a limo pick us up and take us to a nice restaurant for dinner. That is about the extent of my creativeness. Does anyone have any good ideas for something we could do? Any suggestions for a good restaurant to take her to? Anywhere in Montgomery County area or Frederick or DC would be good.

If you haven't done it...see if there is hot air balloon company near you...take her up for a champagne picnic in one.

I got my wife a small book of what to expect out of marriage, with advice on how to handle marriage adversity. I do all the cooking anyway so that would not be too special either but the spa is an idea. I would have to do that the day before since our anniversary is on a Monday though. They start you off with the cheap ones like paper, then once you start following the tradition, a few years down the line your wife is expecting pearls and sapphires. But at least they keep it interesting, year 3 is leather, year 13 is lace. :evilg:
royallypwned
take her back to the place you had your first date. try to recreate it.if thats possible... I agree with this. Also you could either give her a massage, or take her to get a massage or spa treatment from professionals. Or maybe a couples spa treatment. Bliz
Take her to a B&B in the country for the weekend. Guaranteed surefire winner every time. ding ding ding Exactly what I was going to say. A quick weekend getaway is always a great one. My wife and I have traveled (varying distances) for every anniversary so far. It's a great tradition, if you can stick with it. And if you fly, paper = plane tickets. For an amazing dinner on a special occasion, you cannot beat L'Auberge Chez Francois. Simply the best. She was born there and lived there until she was 2 or 3 I think. She always talks about going back. Just have to see how much the flight and hotel is! dockeryfan
My wife and I buy a piece of art for our house every year for our anniversary. It's kind of nice, because there are reminders all over the house of our marriage. We also go out to eat on our anniversary, and I don't get out of the whole anniversary present (usually some kind of jewelery under a couple hundred bucks), but I really look forward to finding the art.
